No. Reserve it for players who stuck out their careers here for better or worse without needing to leave to prove some selfish point about their legacy.

A good albeit difficult point that merits pondering. Would that elevate the likes of Pats-only players like Edelman and Bruschi above Brady? Certainly, Tom wasn't released or traded and could've chosen to stay under the low-ball contract. I wonder what San Fran has done for Montana.

Edit: of course retire the jersey silly question. The real question is does he even want to be involved with the pats if they don’t build his store and his statue? And another good follow up question: does how you feel about that speak to your philosophy on teamwork and acquiescence to narcissism/divadom? And fandom?

But I must add…

So now that the super teams fizzling out that’s when it’s time to go, huh?

How many of you said the rams loaded up?

Mkay…

I want him to step out so we can be done with it. But I also want him to play five more years with TB and go 1-7 so ppl will admit he had some loaded teams.

Harrison was one of the most underrated fa pickups I can think of, Troy brown, Deion branch was underrated, yall love bruschi still here right? Wilfork dominant af…

But whatever!

@Wax Frog Now THAT is a Statement Piece of Art!!!
Thank you! It's of course almost entirely a copy/paste job, but I do take some pride in my compositing skills.

It's always nice to get that creative urge as an excuse to get in some Adobe practice.

his store is already built, and operating in Patriot Place

How does it speak to the team first issues? Who cares? He's not here, is no longer divisive to our team. If the Patriots want to honor him, then they should. As for Tampa falling apart? Good, Damn glad to see it.

Don't know about the others, but I have said the Rams have sold out their future to get to the super bowl this year.

Brady has had multiple loaded teams. Tampa Bay last year was one such team. No question about it.

Signing Rodney in no way has ever been underrated. People have been extolling what guys like Troy Brown, David Givens, David Patten, Bruschi, Vrabel etc for two decades now... If fact a lot of people here bemoan the fact that a **** ton of those guys wont make the NFL HoF because of the team concept that the Patriots put forth for the past 22 years... Please don't try to rewrite those scripts by saying they haven't been appreciated or championed by various members of this board over the intervening years...

Good god @Wax Frog that’s amazing. 100% on board please Mr Kraft make it so. Can you imagine the terror that would inspire in future opponents?

Ok, didn’t know about the tb12 store…

And that’s good to know about the board appreciating some of the other contributions.

No, I don't like the idea of future teams playing literally under the shadow of something like that. A nice duo statue at the north entrance is what I'd prefer.
I found that on Reddit.

Judging by Kraft's horseshit response to Brady's retiring, I don't see him retiring #12 or memorializing Brady.

It will take a gigantic fan petition to force Kraft to do something.

I can't find it but Kraft posted a short statement in regard to Brady's retirement and at the end he essentially said "Tampa, you got a good one, take care of him."

WTF?

No don't skip the HOF waiting period for anyone. Brady and Bill too should have their cooling off period before induction like everyone else.

Well, if anyone would have access to Brady or Brady's plans, it's Kraft. I would 100% think that Kraft the Patriots would have the common sense and class to let Brady handle this on his terms and wait for his official word as opposed to reacting to Schefter/Darlington's report. It's also not hard for me to believe that Kraft communicated with Brady when the story broke. Both sides have said the other is like family. I think that you just want hate on the Krafts and the organization or troll the board. One or the other.

I haven't decided how I will vote, I'm still going through the "process"
When the time's right, I'll be ready to make a decision one way or the other.
I think for me, it's just literally day to day with me.
This vote took me by surprise, I was trying to enjoy a nice weekend. It didn't turn out that way.
I'm just trying to make a great decision for me and my family........and get any bonuses owed me....for the children.

He has a statue and his number retired at the stadium.
