The big question is when will the people on this board who claimed they were done with the NFL once Brady retires announce their retirement?
finding better things to do

The goalposts will move again. The original condition was if he left the Patriots.

I think Brady is going to walk away from the game all together when he leaves. He might do media related things with the NFL, but he will not set foot on a practice field ever again. He just launched a clothing line and he has TB12. I think he will enter a phase where he will be focusing on being a brand rather than a football figure.
It's hard to say. I mean--if I had all the money in the world, I would be bored stiff with this stuff. I well understand he has a big interest in selling stuff now, but he's also got a full time job with football. And let's face it, he has people doing the selling work for him anyway.

If I had to guess, the move into selling stuff all comes from Gisele, since that's her business anyway. I'm sure she's been managing that side for him and telling him how it's done in the retail/fashion world.

I would not be surprised to see him in a studio somewhere.

“Once Brady stops making random appearances on the Manningcast, I am done with football all together. I am just sticking around to hear Brady and the Mannings talk about how Brady‘s golf game is going.”

Are you still a boy in a 30+ year old man’s body? Or have you found an actual living, breathing woman to sit on your face yet?

Yeah, I don't think he'll coach or anything, but I'm talking about consulting. You could be right, though.

TB12 was all Brady. I that will be his biggest focus. I think he will want to franchise it or put his own locations all over the country. He will need to be the face of that. I doubt you will see him sitting at a desk next to Phil Simms. I just don’t think that is Brady’s style. He isn’t a guy who seems he can criticize fellow players for a living.

The Brady Brand can be a full time job for him if he wants it to be.

Speak for yourself. I know that you and many others here who only knew Brady as the Patriots quarterback (until 2020) hero worship him, but many here who were die-hard Pats fans long before Brady arrived do not feel the same way. We thank him for all of the incredible memories and appreciate his greatness but we moved on once he left. Frankly, considering any pro athlete a hero is kind of absurd.

It will be interesting to see how many posters here disappear if/once Brady retires.
Okay dude lol. Not really what I said. Love Tom but I’m focused on the Patriots. Glad he got one without us, but rooting for Tompa was not nearly the same for me as rooting for us even with Cam.

Throwing in my two cents. I think he just may leave.
I think with Tom his legacy is important. He left NE and went to a stacked team and won a SB and had a second good year with a great 27-3 comeback in his final game. He proved he can leave BB and still be successful.
With the good amount of FA’s most likely leaving next year and a suspect coach with the Bucs up against the cap this most likely will not be a stacked team next year. They will be good but not stacked. With a coach like BA, that will not be enough to win.
BB could win with less talent because he is prepared for everything which will win some games that should have been lost. BA is not that guy (Cooper Kupp) proved that.
If Tom stays another year and has a mediocre season then it will again come back to Brady needed BB.
Brady seemed not happy late in the season, and the whole AB thing didn’t help. Then to come back in that game like he did and have the guy you should be triple teaming catch 2 long passes to end the game might have been the icing.
He can still go up on top leaving now.
Just my opinion but I’m usually wrong

2 factors are probably weighing on him:

1. Gisele

2. Uncertainty with the Bucs in 2022. Too many free agents who may not come back plus Leftwich/Bowles interviewing with other teams. Even with Brady, the Bucs may be a mediocre 9-8 team next year/

Word is......
Camera crews from Brady's 199 Productions will be setting up in Brady's living room tomorrow ready to capture a totally impromptu (scheduled for 2:10PM) live family meeting where Tommy will ask each member of the Brady/Bundchen family his or her thoughts on Dad's great career (no longer than 75 secs each), what a great father Tommy is (45 secs/family member), and if Tommy should continue playing QB ((25 secs per Brady/Bundchen).
After 30 second commercial spots from both Manscape and Acqua Di Gio men's eau de toilette spray by Giorgio Armani, the family setting shifts to Tommy's repurposed dojo where Tommy will be seen slipping under a crisp white sheet and getting settled in on a monogrammed TB massage table ($3,999.99 @ TB12.com) for his regular post-nooner sports massage and glute adjustment performed by his inseparable manservant Alex Guererro who will speak to the camera (105 seconds) about Tommy's commitment to excellence and age defiance. A surprise heartfelt phone call (60 secs) from paid Brady confidant Jim Gray will proceed immediately after Guererro's emotional monologue [Guererro works on lower back and inner thighs during Gray conversation].
Commercial break- 45 sec spot from BRADY fashion apparel (featuring the new $300 Brady rain slicker) and 30 second spot from 1% Yacht Brokers ("Live the life you deserve")
Setting shift- Master suite bathroom
Brady spends time (7 minutes-4 cameras) alone to contemplate his future

Commercial break- 60 sec spot from TB12 supplements and mental fitness divisions followed by a 30 second spot from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Bruce Arians.
Setting shift- Brady/Bundchen family enjoying their lagoon pool (tight shot of Gisele dancing in Brazilian bikini towards husband)
Pan left: Surprise guest Rob Gronkowski performs cannonball followed by family merriment.
Tight camera shot of Tommy who looks into camera 7 and says......
"I'm not ready yet.............................to make any formal decision on my future. Stay tuned....maybe next week"
Tommy lip kisses every member of family.
Drone camera elevates away from Brady family compound capturing both mansion and docked yachts.
Fade out
Fade in......CBS experts panel discusses Tommy's decision (11 minutes) from Kansas City
AFC Championship kickoff

I think he made an agreement with Giselle a few years back. 45 and I start enjoying my family.
He needs to enjoy his kids at this age. Pretty soon they will be at an age where it is not cool to be around your parents.
She gave him his due know it is time for him to keep his promise to them

have you found an actual living, breathing woman to sit on your face yet?

You are such an amazing romanticist, a virtual Cyrano de Bergerac. But, I'd think reciting love poems would get rather "muffled" in that position. Muff ... muffled ... you know what I'm saying.

Romance died with feminism. Now, it’s all about eating ass on the first date.

I guess times have changed. So, to stoke fond courtship memories instead of flowers on Valentine's Day she gets this?

it is surprising to me because just a few months ago he was talking of playing into his 50's. An interesting thought though is does this change the narrative surrounding Bill's decision to let him go? we would be keeping brady for only 2 years with a subpar roster around him just delaying the rebuild as 2020 and 2021's rosters would've likely been less talented than what was trotted out.

looking back on it, seems like it has worked for both sides. Pats got to start the rebuild and hopefully found their QB of the future. and Brady got to play his last 2 years on a talented team rather than a rebuilding roster.

A bit narrowminded and outdated don't you think.
Using regime sanctioned terminology, you should have said...
"have you found an actual living, breathing birthing person to sit on your face yet?"

I believe almost everyone here knew it was a short term thing in Tampa for Brady. 2 years the likeliest, 3 years max.

I consider myself as big a Brady fan as there is but I don't think things worked out badly for either party, and if Mac develops then letting Brady go was clearly the best decision for the franchise, because there's no way we draft that high to grab him.

You’re such a better Pats fan than everyone else. So hardcore.
No, but my Patriots fandom does not center around gargling Brady’s nuts, like it STILL does for some people here.

Have they become saltier as he gets older and, if so, do you like that?
