So depressing to think this but I'm not sure that Brady wants to retire a patriot. I hope I am wrong as I would love to see him sign the one day deal but I think he also respects the bucs for what they did for him at the end of his career.

I think you underestimate his relationship with RKK... While it seemed to end bitterly, RKK was the one who let him walk away, but doing the deals that granted him his free agency... i think there is much love and respect between those two...

Speak for yourself. I know that you and many others here who only knew Brady as the Patriots quarterback (until 2020) hero worship him, but many here who were die-hard Pats fans long before Brady arrived do not feel the same way. We thank him for all of the incredible memories and appreciate his greatness but we moved on once he left. Frankly, considering any pro athlete a hero is kind of absurd.

It will be interesting to see how many posters here disappear if/once Brady retires.

I'm wondering if Brady's primary consideration on retiring or playing in '22 is who the Bucs have coming back (both players and coaches). I don't think he would like answering directly to Arians if Leftwich leaves, but then Tom's return essentially would ensure winning the division regardless.

I care if he retires. He's still a MVP-caliber QB in "our league". If he retires now, league dynamics shift.

They aint the only star couple that have done some counselling and may have some challenges if/when he is no longer consumed by pro football, but I don't see why we project another War of the Roses.

I wonder why so many fans care about the “retiring a patriot”. I wonder why any athlete does that one day thing. I loved all the winning, excitement, and intensity Brady brought to the team I cheer for. I don’t care about any of this peripheral crap.

Agree 100%.

I treasure his accomplishments on the field and have a general positive attitude about him as a person.

I don't give a crap if he does or does not show up here to collect a red jacket or if he goes through this fiction that he's retiring as a Patriot because he signs a 1 day contract or if he'll hurt Krafty Bob's feelings if he doesn't.
