I called it on Hightower. He’s done.

we need to draft a mike LB with athleticism and leadership potential. Dipping back into the van noy/collins… desperation.

And uche is probably a bust.

we actually have a long way to go.

keeping cam or Mac meant nothing in the grand scheme of things this year. Called that too.

now had we begun this process after the diva qb got pissy about jimmy g and we get the greatest haul ever out of it… with ample time left for the goat coach to rebuild a ****ing TEAM and not qb…

Bio says she's ex-media, so maybe she's home, barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
She used to be Tom Curran’s co- host on “Quick Slants”. I know someone who knows her who told me she withdrew from a broadcasting career after a serious stalking incident.

I love how one of the liberals of liberals on this site is a raving sexist. Motherhood might be a better career choice than yucking it up with the idiots at NBCBoston.

Allen's issue though was that he had to learn to play QB at the NFL level. He has/had all the talent in the world. It just had to be harnessed and the Bills did a great job developing him. Mac is short on talent IMO, especially his arm and that is a big issue as he does not have Allen's athleticism to fall back on. I really hope he can get stronger this off-season and also develop his pocket presence. He does need better weapons but it isn't happening. Bill spent a ton this year on offensive skill guys in FA. He is stuck with them through next year.

You obviously don't know how to evaluate a QB. The most important traits for a QB are accuracy and decisionmaking, which are Mac's strengths. That is better than having a strong-armed QB like Allen who will never win a super bowl because he doesn't have it upstairs.

NE thrives on this type of reporter. They think it proves they’re unbiased and not drinking the Kool-Aid. Most of the time they just have an agenda or just show themselves as fools, or both.

Curly Haired Boyfriend (Dan Shaugnessy) is exhibit A, which is funnier because he’s a baseball guy first and foremost. The CHB nickname came from Carl Everett 20 years ago, whose skin he really got under.
That and East Coast fans in general get worked up when the media ****s on the team and rewards the reporters by engaging with them. Many of the more casual fanbases will just disregard anything negative about the team from the media and only take optimistic outlooks and even if the team is doing poorly will say something like "welp it was a rough season for our boys, but we have a good draft pick to look foreward to and certain players showed good development".

Then you have New York, Boston, and Philly where sports talk is giddy over a loss so they can talk about the sky following and play the blame game instead of real analysis or just accepting that losses happen.

We have plenty of cap space. Also, we're missing draft picks, we have 5.
No trading down for extra picks. Outside of Dugger, that never works for the Pats. Just make 5 good picks. Need an explosive receiver. Need to give Mac better receiving options. Right now they are average at best. Nobody fears (or respects) our offense.

Allen had 10 td passes and 12 INTs as a rookie. Threw for 52.8 completion percentage and a 67.9 QBR. There’s no law saying QBs can’t improve. If he’s at the same level after 3 seasons, then yeah I agree. I think he will be top 10, but he definitely needs better weapons around him. The running game is excellent. The receiving options are average at best. And they can even improve the Oline. Look at the improvement in Allen’s weapons, it’s not a coincidence that he became a top QB once he got Diggs and Beasley.
Yeah it's dumb acting like a first year rookie season says everything on a QB. Brady couldn't even win the starting job his rookie year and while many thought he was better than Bledsoe his sophmore year, it wasn't by a big enough margin to make a switch from an established starter. Another tidbit on Allen, he went into his third year with many people in the Buffalo market believing he had to show significant improvement or he'd be on the way out. Peyton Manning was really good production wise his rookie year, but he also led the NFL in INT's and had very apparent flaws. Brees first run in San Diego it took 4 years for him to finally have a decent season, then he regressed the next year and went on to have a HOF career in New Orleans.

It's not remotely worth projecting Mac out now. Especially since Bill has been deliberately conservative with him and he has no WR's that would be credible number 1's on most playoff teams and the line has been spotty based on the week.

Relax. We'll beat the Jags by 17, and then everyone will be back on the bandwagon thinking of playoff seeding.
it's a literal 50/50 of whether we can beat the Fins in swamp beach. Either way, we won't win a playoff game this year, but it'll be good experience for Mac and the youngins' to get before next year.
I think Mac may have hit his plateau. And that's not a knock. He's only played 2.5 years of real football. And he's been going year round from the NCAA championship run to senior bowl and draft process to minicamps... If he can get serious this offseason, work on his strength and O system, he should take a big step.

They played bad. But its amazing the overreaction of criticizing individual players from Mac jones regressing, to hunter henry on paternity leave. Ultimately they werent undiscplined , relied overly on mac jones arm when the run was working ,had drops and didnt really adjust the gameplan. They start throwing on the first drive after 1 run and go 3 and out. Then the next drive they go runs and score TD. That is the game plan they didnt stick with. This kinda sums it up on the defense

More than the loss today, i absolutely hate the last game at miami. That will be an even more difficult game for Mac Jones.

The issue with Brady playing in Miami was always the heat and humidity, since he wasn't used to it. Mac is used to it having played in Alabama. Early forecasts for the game show that the temps will be a high of 79 degrees...

It wasnt the heat always. their defenses gave brady fits. Brian flores will be a pain to deal with.

He's also from Jacksonville.

He seems to be keeping the former a secret at the moment.

I think you need to reevaluate things yourself. lol, wow

The quarterback.

has less to do.

with fixing this team…

than you ppl think.

we’d be hovering around .500 right now with anybody.
