3 Patriots Make the Pro Bowl (congrats JC, Judon, Slater)

Right now I don’t see Slater getting in the HoF. Kickers have enough trouble getting in this conversation and they contribute more than special teams specialists.

But if or when Steve Tasker makes it (he is a semi finalist this year) that might change things for Slater.

If Tasker makes it with 7 pro bowls, Slater with 10 pro bowls would make sense. Curious, how many other rare dad-son combos all made it to the HOF? (doesn't have to be same position)

I think Slater might benefit from all the other Patriot snubs in the hall. At some point they are going to realize the Hall is lacking in players from the greatest dynasty. And that might give him the push he needs. Also if Tasker ever gets in they pretty much have to with Slater. Not saying he's better than Tasker not saying he isn't that debate can be had but if one gets in the other deserves it too.

Who's on the list you think? I can think of Seymour, maybe Harrison, Vinatieri. Slater. Gronk and Brady later

The way they treating Sey and Rodney I'm starting to think Brady, Gronk, and Ty might be it. Then at some point they might actually recognize how under represented we are and that's when a few more like Dmac, Rodney, Seymour might get in and then this where Slater will get his attention as they look for others. This will be when Vinatieri probably gets in. And when they might actually consider Jules and Willie Mac's playoff numbers worthy enough.

I think Vince will get in somewhere in there too NT generally don't get much love but I think the snub factor will help him too and he might just randomly get in quick cause he got a lot of media Attention during his playing days.

Who'd I leave out? I'm sure I forgot a few obvious ones.

Good one, I forgot DMac. Absolutely

Has Slater blocked a punt, forced a fumble, scored a ST td this season? he might've downed a punt inside the 20 a time or 2....otherwise he's done very little of impact, but he has had a couple massive St penalties
Slater has exactly 1 forced fumble and 1 touchdown in his career since 2008. It seems you are unaware of what his job is and what makes him important.

Or he's drawing enough attention that it allows the rest of the STs to look better than it is.

But that would take more than a surface-level evaluation and that's not your strong suit, Zubaz man.

Bingo.

I mean, except for some cute little post-game speeches (he should’ve stood up and ****ing APOLOGIZED on behalf of his ****ING PUTRID SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEAMS Saturday night), what impactful plays has he actually ever made here?

The only way this dude ever enters the HOF is if his dad comps him a free ticket.

Did Slater really deserve to be named or did his past credentials give him the nod?

One other thing of note, not one offensive skill player made it despite Bill spending the most he ever has on those positions in FA.

so what if it was?

maybe it makes up for all the great players we have had that have been ignored (no effing way it makes up for it)...

and the anti BB hits keep coming
Right because he can't be criticized? The TEs alone are making $25 mil and Smith has been a bust and Henry has been decent but nowhere near his contract. Then you add in Agahlor who is the highest paid WR on this team and there is much to analyze here about who Bill spend money on. Bourne has been a hit and Meyers at times looks good but drops a lot too. So overall, I would say pretty mixed but mostly a disappointment given what was spent.

Care to to actually debate or just hide behind the "anti-Bill" nonsense?

Double-H has been the best of the bunch, no doubt, just not Pro-Bowl great… But he doesn’t have to be in order to earn his money, which I feel has generally has… It’s Smith & Agholor who have been the real thieves.

Okay Mazz

sure he can he criticized. He's made more than his fair share of mistakes. but make a criticism that is relevant.

Does his decision to sign these particular players who didnt make the pro bowl fall into that category? We they all busts? All playing like crap? Or is this just more piling on?

gtfo with this nonsense.

Um, I just did. I contrasted their salaries with their production. Cannot get much more relevant than that.

Meyers was not a FA and was not signed this offseason for big bucks...just sayin

Agholor and Smith were the big L when it comes to grade money and value, BUT I am not sure it is only on the players, I sense that there is someone who actually might do a better job to find a fit for the players and call the right plays for them to use the players to their strength, so I am not mad at BB, but more on the RZ-issue McD
