Not sure why this board is focused on the #1 seed. This isn't 2007. Think back to the late 90s. Young QB. Trying just to make the playoffs. Let's take it one step at a time here with this team. Qualify for the tournament then possibly win the division. If that gets the team a bye then great.
What lol why wouldn't we be? I get that expectations were low this year but the way this team's been performing lately they're a Super Bowl contender. A bye week, extra rest, and only needing two home games for a Super Bowl appearance as opposed to likely 3 road games is MASSIVE. Yea, the 1 seed matters very very much now with the playoff changes.

This isn't quite the right forecast, it doesn't target the 8 to 11 timeframe. The forecast is unchanged the past 2 days: mid 30's, no precipitation. The winds will be 25-30 mph steady, with gusts in the high 40's. Which is insane wind and will affect even the shotgun snaps, not to mention every throw and every kick. When the wind's at our backs we have to take advantage, including going for it on 4th downs.
Mid 30s but Feels like temps are 17 to 19, probably because of the winds. I also see 34 to 42 % chance of rain. What direction are west winds to the atadium?

All of BB's super bowl appearances happened when they had a first round bye so yeah i think this game is crucial to determining the outcome of the season

Also, we can think about the possibility of the 1 seed because we don't play for the team. They need to focus on Buffalo. We can think/talk about whatever we want, and if it doesn't happen, it will not have been our fault.

That said, there is some wisdom in just focusing on the game tonight. Not because it will change any future outcomes, but because it is (IMO) usually better to enjoy the moment. This is huge game, against a heated rival, and the most meaningful game we've seen since Brady left. We should all enjoy that we're here for it.

Given there is only one bye, it is a HUGE advantage for that team that gets it. How can you bet against the Pats in Foxboro in January?

Expect a lot of running tonight. Mac doesnt have the arm for that wind.
He doesn't need a Jakobi / Josh Allen type RPG arm when he can Neo/Wesley Gibson his way around defenders to our receivers:

i want to call the commissione; if you’re not allowed to heat the game balls; I don’t think the Jills should be allowed to heat their players while ours are cold. That’s not legitimate HFA.

Very exciting game tonight and you have to expect the Bills to fold like little girls. If they don't though NE could go from looking to lock up #1 to fighting for a wildcard if the Colts beat them next week. Crazy how things are close in the AFC.

From Wikipedia...

Buffalo, by virtue of its position downwind of Lake Erie, is one of the nation's windiest cities, and as a result, Highmark Stadium is difficult for kickers, with swirling winds that change direction rapidly. This is exacerbated by the stadium's design. The field is 50 feet (15 m) below ground level, while the top of the upper deck stands only 60 feet (18 m) above ground. The open end lies parallel to the direction of the prevailing winds, so when the winds come in, they immediately drop down into the bowl, causing the stadium's signature wind patterns.

The end zones in that stadium are WNW to ESE, so a west wind will favor the team going L to R in this pic, but still a bit of a cross-wind.

From this N-S googlemaps view, stadium appears to be along a 315-135 degree axis.

so westerly 270-to-90 degree wind would come 1/4 off to playing field; IF if weren’t for the big walls and resulting swirling/vortexes.

Of course this is the easiest/safest prediction to make . but the magnitude & speed of this board's flipping the narrative from “bust“ to “SB or bust“ is just amazing.

It almost feels like some people would do everything to set themselves for a rant..

imagine bills mafia if the Bills lose to the Patriots and the following week lose to TB12

ask Rex Ryan and John Harbaugh....

Its a 01.15hrs start for us in the UK so too late for me I am afraid. Enjoy the game everyone and I shall catch up in the morning.
