Titans through 10 weeks:

Titans have had some weird games this year. 8-2 against a tough schedule other than the Jags. Totally owned the Chiefs but they also gave up 198 yards rushing to the Jags. And lost to the Jete as we all know. Defense has given up under 300 yards in a game only once (Colts who have a good offense). Haven't had over 70 yards rushing in a game since Henry went out. Tannehill's numbers also aren't all that different from Mac's: 66.5 comp %, 2369 yards, 13 TD, 8 INT.

Tough opponent but we got them at home. Don't see why this team can't be beaten.

2 hottest teams in the league. 5 in a row for us, will be 7 in a row for them after sunday. Huge showdown, the nation will be praying for a titans win - I think i heard a collective GULP during that browns game

I don’t know if I’m out thinking myself here but Henry being out might actually be better for the Titans because the Pats would probably love for them to waste downs running into a wall.

A gimmicky team designed around hiding the glaring weakness of their quarterback.

DVOA
Overall - 18th
Offense - 19th
Defense - 12th

Ryan Tannehill is ranked 26th on DVOA and 24th in ANY/A.

This is basically a 9-8 team that’s just gotten really lucky.

Close games this season:
33-30 Seahawks (W)
27-24 Jets (L)
34-31 Bills (W)
34-31 Colts (W)
23-21 Saints (W)

4-1 record

you would think that but the Titans have no running game without Henry, still run it 25-30 times, are inefficient and Tannehill can't use play action anymore.

The Titans have 194 and 264 yards of offense in the 2 games Henry missed.

As a rule, I tend to toss divisional games out when I analyze other teams. They know each other too well. Think about how awful the Jete, Lolphins, and Billdos have been throughout the 20 year Patriot run, and how many times we actually swept the division. Just a handful. I still can’t believe that Miami loss in 2004. So I don’t give much stock to their struggles against the Jags and Colts.

To me, my biggest concern is Mike Vrabel. With the exception of BoB, ex-Patriot coaches and players have had far more success against BB than other coaches. Vrabel is already 2-0 against him. In theory we can take them down, but I expect Vrabel will have a good idea about what BB will try to do and will do everything he can to prevent it. Seems like this will be a slugfest.

This is a big game at home which we should win.

Mistakes are frustrating, but part of growing and improving, and we've been good at overcoming them.

We should take advantage of the extra time to heal and prepare.

The next game after this is obviously huge. The players should not be thinking about it yet. The coaches and scouts, on the other hand, should be working on it now. We should win in Buffalo - but the Bills will pull out all the stops. They think they're better than us, and they want to avoid the supposed ignominy of losing to us.

I think playing a Pees coached defense this week could help the Pats. Pees dialed up some blitzes that the Pats dealt with poorly. I think Vrabel will attack in with similar schemes. Hopefully, Pats line and Mac will be better prepared and not have as many drive killing plays. Maybe they can even be ready to take advantage of the holes in the defense that innovative blitz schemes sometime create. Pats used to have a guy running the offense that was particularly effective at quickly identifying those holes and putting the team in position to take advantage.

Also, remember Vrabel screwed us in the playoff match up (Brady's last game) with the multiple delay of game penalties that ran a few minutes of clock time. Look for Bill to do some trickery to get back at him.

I think, only if we're way up already. Bill's got burned before fooling around while the outcome is still in doubt.

I like the Pats odds of winning this one since Bill has an extra few days to come up with a great game plan. It will give our guys a chance to rest too.
