OT : 40 teams

Would not like...

But if they did expand, 2 teams in London, 6 in the US...

St Louis, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Birmingham, Portland, Louisville...

Stay out of Canada, unless the CFL folds...

Stay out of Mexico... Way too effing dangerous...
Birmingham? Lol, the 3 people there would make for a great market.

Don't expand the main league. Allow each team to have an actual farm team - roster of 30 - 40. Cap ticket prices so a family of 4 can easily attend. Drop the PS. TV/Radio deal - encourage the networks to use these games as broadcaster training.
Also referee training. Let's get these crap pos's out of the game

This would be the perfect capstone to Goodell completely changing the league for the worse. Thurs night games, 17 game season, and then 40 teams in the league. Just keep diluting the product until the on field product turns everyone off.

Its always about short term internal rate of return. They don’t really care about the product.

Theyll put gems in growing metro areas like San Antonio and Orlando, maybe Salt Lake. London supports at least six (!) Premier League football clubs and probably could support an American football team.

Rome Gladiators
Milan Workers
Athens Solars
Zurich Chocolates
Madrid BullFighters
Wien Hasburgs
Stockholm Vikings2
Copenaghen Vikings3
Oslo Vikings4
you might not be even that wrong (beside the names) but the NFL is heavily trying to get more money and expanding into other countries with located teams is what will help the case short term (not sure about long term)

first would be a canadian, a mexican and one team from London, possibly going further to Germany

as an european seeing what happens to our football here I rather keep the NFL as is, because it is an american sport and it should remain an american sport, I am fully ok with players from europe or anywhere in the world beeing provided more chances to join the NFL but for gods sake please keep the NFL as is without any teams from Europe or wherever

maybe Goodell should focus more to get full time refs to improve the game rather than just adding teams? giving the teams more time to prepare and get ready for the season? how about that ****ell?

I look forward to the marquee matchup of Jarrett Stidham and the Dover Duckbills against Mike White and Boise Spuds.

Now starting for your Canton Bulldogs, at strong safety Tavon Wilson, at cornerback Cyrus Jones...........

Take the League to 46 teams, and that will be two of the better QB's.

I’ve always thought NYC could use a second professional team. Big market for the Giants to share with another pro team.

I've always wondered if this area would/could support another pro team, NFL or otherwise. I'm not talking about a new team in the world table tennis league, I'm talking about a team that would basically compete with the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots. I'm sure there's some sort of non-compete clause in Krafty Bob's And the NFL's ownership agreement. But it would be kind of cool to think about it.... I've always thought Providence could potentially support a football team or a baseball team. it's sort of appropriate to this thread, so I figured I would posit it here.

Florio is smoking something if he thinks 40 is a possibility at anytime save the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, far future. Since the AFL merger, we had 2 in 1976, 2 in 1995, and 2 more at the turn of the century. So that's 6 in the past 50 years. I don't see 8 more coming at a rate faster than that.

This league doesn’t have enough talent to make 32 teams competitive. With 40 teams, some players who are currently on practice squads would become starters and players who couldn’t cut it in the NFL now would make 53 man rosters. I mean I more teams would require 424 more players to active rosters. And there are at least a half dozen to a dozen teams who have starting QBs who are awful. With a 40 team league, that would add eight more crappy QBs.
