Mac Jones has incredible accuracy

On the slight overthrow on the deep pass to Agholor, I couldn't help but think that Smith or Waddle would have had the extra step for the completion. Mac is getting more and more comfortable going downfield and I think he'll adjust quickly to these slower NFL receivers.

Jones has exceeded any and all expectations I had for him!

What he is doing out there is incredible. His pre and post snap reads are as good as anybody currently playingnot named brady.

if we had a true number 1 receiver this team, we would be lethal and going to the bowl!

The end zone angle shows how filthy accurate of a throw the long completion to Henry was. From a fundamentals standpoint just one beautiful throw. Would like to see the same angle on that drop-the-bucket throw to Meyers as well.

He also had Asiasi WIDE open over the middle that would have gone for a big gain too. But the throw to Henry was prettier.

Mac made a similarly filthy throw during college senior bowl practice.

.

Is he only at 69% right now? I thought he was over 70%, he keeps playig games like yesterday he'll end up there. But yes, he is on pace to have one of the best rookie seasons ever, only behind maybe Justin Herbert.
That 69% makes him the fourth most accurate starting quarterback in the league as of today.

Reminds me of a young Drew Brees.

His leadership, poise, and moxie remind me of Brady.

His throwing mechanics remind me of both Mannings.

His ball placement reminds me of Brees.

His pocket presence/movement has elements of Brady & Brees but isn’t wholly one or the other … a bit of both.

For all the handwringing about Macs deep passes. No one took into account the OL was a mess and he was getting hit within 2 seconds.

What do you know, when the OL can give him time he can throw a nice deep ball. Like he did at Alabama and all summer

So what are we talking here, a SB every other year?

And don't forget our backs as receivers too. It looks like Mac can handle the mental complexity of having 5 or 6 weapons on the field at once, and making the right decision on where to go with the ball.
He can’t have 6 weapons on the field, it would be a penalty

That is a nasty ball. The Kid checks the boxes. In my mind, the only thing left is to see if he elevates his game in the post season. They have their guy, now to see what happens next. He's good. Can he be great?

I am not saying he is Tom Brady 2.0 - but this offense was designed for EXACTLY his type of skillset. McDaniels/BB have designed this system for smart, accurate quarterbacks that can make reads effectively and quickly.

On top of that, the throws to Henry along the left sideline, the over-the-shoulder to Meyers, and the TD pass to Bourne were throws that IMO only a handful of NFL quarterbacks can make regularly. Its also understated how great a touch he has on screen passes. For example, that pass to Stevenson last week floating it over a collapsing pocket.
