Aaron Rodgers positive for COVID (update: “furious” status leaked, claims he didn’t lie, attacks NFL protocols)

There’s a minuscule chance it’s deadly for my age group
But the vaccine is?
If the vaccine prevented you from contracting or spreading it, you know, like vaccines should then maybe I’d have considered it.
Most vaccines do not actually provide that. Lookup sterilizing immunity; most diseases have been eradicated by vaccines which do not fully prevent infection of spread.
Just lol at that point that my natural pureblood immunity is somehow inferior to your vaccine. Is this science ok to trust or is this not the science you guys are talking about?
As I said, it’s “unlikely.” Numerous articles from medical authorities say natural immunity is hard to predict because the immune system reacts much less predictably in any given individual. Antibody response can vary greatly.

Please keep things on Rodgers not the vaccine.
I just read he lost his marketing deal with a health company. He is literally burning his image to the ground.

Good point, but honestly at this point the thread is dead. The Rodgers developments will no longer keep pace with the Covid debate.

That entire article argues against your position. Haha.

You should read what you post.

How many people do you know who had Covid?

Either you won't listen to her or she's a moron. Not a promising start either way.

WTF?! Tell that to family members of the THOUSANDS of people in average-to-good health who succumbed to this deadly disease.

No. I cannot believe your fiancee is a nurse.
Couple dozen I guess. Probably many more that didn’t know they had it.

Im sorry her personal work experience doesn’t support what you heard on CNN.

I think my definition of average health is a little different than the nations. Obesity is damn near average now.

That is devastating to me

I agree, depending on your age, the deaths are pretty low for certain age groups. But those same age groups are very self centered and selfish, and only think about themselves. They don’t think about spreading it to the age groups that do die more often from Covid.

My mom was 81, got a really bad case of Covid despite being extremely careful, and the long term effects led to her death in June. She obviously got too close to a moron, and it led to her death. Prior to that, when she was 80, she was still working full time, and probably the healthiest 80 year old I ever knew. Her job went on furlough, and never came back. She never got a chance to enjoy her forced retirement. She was never healthy again after she got Covid. So the last 6 months of her life were doctors appointments and hell. She lost her sense of taste, hardly ate and lost 30 pounds. She was 5’6” and 90 pounds when she died.

So yeah, people under age 40, the mortality rate is pretty low compared to ages 40+. But those same people who are anti vaxxers/anti maskers are killing our Moms and Dads, Aunts and Uncles. I work with one person who lost both parents to Covid.

Please post vaccine stuff in the other forum.

The article says that you are wrong.

Vax Truther: You sheep are idiots, listening to everything the Lamestream media says. They lie and mislead. That’s why I do my own research.

Also, Vax Truther: Who cares what the study says? When it comes to a major health question, the headline works for me!

Please post vaccine stuff in the other forum.

When there’s another Rodgers development of note, I’ll create a new thread and change the title of this one, since this is past the point of no return.

"The study demonstrates the power of the human immune system, but infectious disease experts emphasized that this vaccine and others for COVID-19 nonetheless remain highly protective against severe disease and death. And they caution that intentional infection among unvaccinated people would be extremely risky. “What we don’t want people to say is: ‘All right, I should go out and get infected, I should have an infection party,’” says Michel Nussenzweig, an immunologist at Rockefeller University who researches the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 and was not involved in the study. “Because somebody could die.”

The researchers also found that people who had SARS-CoV-2 previously and received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine were more highly protected against reinfection than those who once had the virus and were still unvaccinated.

Still, Thålin and other researchers stress that deliberate infection among unvaccinated people would put them at significant risk of severe disease and death, or the lingering, significant symptoms of what has been dubbed Long Covid. The study shows the benefits of natural immunity, but “doesn’t take into account what this virus does to the body to get to that point,” says Marion Pepper, an immunologist at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Mr. Bo Jangles, if you were in court defending yourself, you'd find yourself guilty. Unbelievable.

It's got nothing to do with CNN, bucko. My wife is an ICU RN who has held cell phones to the ears of dying Covid patients so family members could say goodbye. She's turned off ventilators on which Covid victims with NO pre-existing conditions drew their final breaths. Looking back, I'm half-amazed she and I made it through the past 18-plus months with our marriage, lives and wits intact, though we've both aged considerably. Snarking about this subject from an ignorantly partisan viewpoint is pretty damn pathetic. And if your fiancee is, indeed, what you say she is, you're overdue for a stone sober chat that hopefully includes a reading of the riot act. Better buckle up.

This forum needs a “mic drop” emoji.

Vaccinated have contracted covid and DIED.

BUT, you supposedly cant spread to others, though... you should still wear a mask.

This about sums up everything, nothing else really needs to be said.
