N'Keal Harry appreciation thread

The thing with Harry is, in NE he is heavily misused, the guy is a 50/50 jump ball Receiver, though he got some slight improvements with regards to getting some seperation, but when it takes a 100pts lead over the JETE to throw such a pass to him than somebody really ****ed up the draft few years ago. Why draft a receiver with a specific set of skills, if you don't use him according to his strength? If you don't want to take the risky pass than draft someone who better fits your offense. Unless you drafted him because he can block well for a receiver and thats actually what he is used the most, ****ing block for a running play, which becomes than obvious for opponents when he is on the line.

I think he should get his 2-3 passes per game down field where he can use his skills.
For me this looks a bit like the Onwenu to LG instead of RT topic, where you obviously use a player wrong and than the fans get mad at them because they do not perform as expected, even though it is totally on the coaches and not on the player.
Coaches should know how to use their players best.

Where you can blame Harry is him not knowing the complete playbook in and out after 3 years, thats really disappointing

RB’s and WR’s are going to fumble. It’s inevitable with how much they get hit. If you want to bench them for a few plays or a drive, fine. But for the rest of the game or get deactivated over it is ridiculous. Especially if they are important to the team and clawing their way to wins which they are currently doing.
You are arguing that a proven approach that has absolutely worked is ridiculous.

Some players fumble more than others and more frequently.

The infrequent fumblers play. The habitual fumblers don't.

Some need to be taught the hard way.

See KFaulk
It’s also about the nature of the fumble. If it’s careless you sit, if it’s a great play by the defense you don’t.

We should appreciate that Harry has nearly united the message board (about hating Harry).
The board always unites when it comes to hating a Pat's player

More on Harry here from Lazar, with two clips:

I haven’t seen Harry ever get out of a break on a deep comeback route as well as he did on the play we highlighted in the opening section, and he did a great job of holding his line working across the field and boxing out the catch point on his first catch.

Are these signs that Harry will break out into the first-round pick the Patriots thought they drafted? Let’s not go that far. But at least he gives them a fourth receiver who can make plays.

Bourne was benched on Sunday after his fumble....

Will be interesting to see how the snap distribution goes from here....

For better or worse, N'Keal is our Huckleberry for rest of the season....go N'Keal!!!!
Maybe Harry will fumble too, and they'll ping-pong back and forth off the bench?

Not quick? I agree. Doesn't seem to get it? I agree. Lacks separation? I agree. Average at best hands? Nope.
Hasn't killed anybody...

(Hey, this thread is all about satire, right?)

Let's discuss his 30 yards; also a career high.

He's really turning a corner. Good for him. If he can become a decent 4th receiver for 30 catches a season, it turns a disastrous 1st round pick by Bill's mediocre staff into a really bad 1st round pick.

Well since belichicks teams have fumbled far less over his career than anyone else...
Off topic:

This reminds me of a Bills fan friend of mine who was giving me a hard time during Deflate-gate about some statistical claim that the Pats fumble rate went way down coincident with the claims of ball deflation.

I responded by saying that the same team losing 4 Superbowls in a row should only happen once every (32^3 ==) 32,768 seasons, so statistically the Bills must have been part of a plot to deliberately throw those games.

That shut him up.

And threads like these draw the the usual dregs of the site. Notice they will go nowhere near the post game thread or say anything about the win.

Clowns.

I've conceded that he is a "bust" but he made 2 big catches this week and a great one vs. the Jets. He also seems to be a really good run-blocker. He seems to be in on almost all redzone packages.
Yup. Harry has 5 catches so far this year. So if you're happy with 2 catches per week, Harry is on pace for.... 18 more catches thanks to the fact that we have 17 games this year instead of 16!! LMAO    :poop:

Just to let you guys know that with his total of 77 receiving yards, Harry is among the lead leaders at #227 out of all eligible passcatchers. That means only 226 players who can catch a football did better than him this year! That makes him... 227/32 teams = a 7th string player. Sounds about right for a 1st round pick!! :poop::haha: N"keal Harry, you might be the best 7th option available to us this year, cos you sure play like it!

Hey not bad, he's on pace for his regular production. The guy is consistent if not anything else.

I can think of 97,000,000 thinks that would be a better use if your time than research hung those numbers. Especially when rooting for a team that has its QB of the future out there, started 1-3 and has since gone 3-1 with 2 road wins, the only loss being in ot to a 6-1 team, and has scored 34 ppg in those 4

They aren’t really jump ball types though, and Harry is on the field quite a bit in the red zone as a blocker so he’s finding his way into packages, were just not throwing anything to him.
LOL You really think Mac Jones is not throwing to him on purpose? If he were open, Mac Jones would get the ball to him. This is the same conspiracy theory that said Brady was hating on N'Keal Harry on purpose. As hindsight shows that is completely hogwash. N'Keal Harry doesn't get catches cos he is molasses slow and doesn't create separation. On the occasional chance that N'Keal Harry would get open, he often messes up and injures himself instead of running under the ball and catching it. :poop::poop::poop:

So you are obligated to waste your time in it? Interesting.
