At 2-4, I believe the toughest part of the Pats schedule is over with games against TB, Saints and Dallas. So the question becomes, how many more wins do the Pats have in them? Just a reminder of whom we have left to play:

-Jete

-Chargers

-Panthers

-Browns

-Falcons

-Titans

-Bills x 2

-Colts

-Jaguars

-Dolphins

I think the Pats will lose 3-4 more games, most likely Chargers, Titans, Bills on the road and possibly Panthers/Colts. That would mean a 9-8 or 10-7 record. Playoffs is a possibility as a 6th or 7th seed.

I think we beat the Jets and Jags and then get a win against either the Colts, Dolphins, or one of the Bills games. Puts around 6 wins.

We beat the Jets, Dolphins, Jaguars, Colts, Falcons and split with the Bills. I can also see wins vs the Panthers and Browns so 8 more wins hopefully

That’s kind of how I see it - Panthers have Darnold and the Browns with a gimpy Mayfield are possible wins too. And if we hang with the Cowboys and Bucs, why not the Chargers?

Pats were fortunate to have 6 games against the bottom dwellers in the AFC (currently 2-1). Assuming they win 3 remaining games against those teams gives them 5 wins. They would then need to win 5 out of 8 against Billsx2, LAC, TEN, CAR, CLE, IND and ATL. If we give them ATL, CAR and IND, puts them at 8 wins. Then, 2 out of 5 wins against pretty good teams. It's possible.

Looking at the below standings, it seems daunting they could displace one of CIN, LV, CLE or KC from that 7th spot. Even the Colts could be in play, which is a better team than their record shows. I had them going 9-8 and missing the playoffs. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything so far to change my mind.

Our two wins are against one win teams and we lost to the one win Dolphins. I know we're racking up the "moral victories" but I don't really seem much more than 6 wins here.

Yea, if you look at the SOV of the teams seeded 6 thru 9 and compare to the Pats (#11), they're more than double. It'll be tough to displace them.

Yeah I thought hard about the Chargers too, but I feel our offense won't be able to keep up. Chargers D has talent even though they haven't played well the past two games

They have to win the games they should - Jets, Dolphins, Panthers, Falcons, Jags

And win 2, at least, of the ones against Colts, Titans, Chargers, Browns...

I think they can do Part 2, but they'll probably tank on Part1. Also, a split with the Bills would help, but Buffalo is pretty damned good.

If we lose to the Jets then it's time to #BlowForThibodeaux :) The Texans win may come back to bite us though.

We're not losing to the JETE. Come on man.

I think they’ll be either 9-8 or 8-9. Really really would’ve helped if they’d even been able to squeeze by in 1/4 home games.

They're all at least somewhat winnable, but I'm sure there will be plenty of losses in there. Just hard to say which. My guess is 6 to 8 wins total (including our existing 2). Maybe 9.

I'm still on wait and see mode. Too much of a developing picture at this point. After the Jete there's a 3 game stretch against actual NFL teams that I feel will be very telling.
