Can’t be anything but excited tonight even after a loss. I really feel this teams only going to get better as time goes on. Even at 1-3, I’m looking forward to the rest of the season, I still think they’ll be in the mix of a playoff birth.
23 mins? Pretty exact…he got a stop watch out when he saw Belichick walk in there? Oh my god, 23 full minutes! If it was only 19 then no big deal but 23, I can’t believe it! So much of the Brady/Belichick nonsense is a media manufacturing of drama. I don’t know why anyone else outside the media wastes their time or energy on it.

Yep, they’ve executed poorly, turned the ball over and committed a lot of penalties. They can only get better and tonight was a big step in the right direction.
1-3 feels lousy and losing, no matter your record, sucks. But 1-3 will be moot should they get into the postseason, and if they do, I don’t think any teams will want to play them.
wish they were 2-2 but that’s irrelevant. The season isn’t over and they still control their destiny within the AFCE. I want to see some wins and hopefully some playoff football in January.

Every offense is going to underperform with a crap OL. Just ask Patrick. When you can’t run the ball and become one dimensional advantage goes to the defense. It’s not on the OC when the O line sucks and can’t protect.
Exactly. We can keep blaming Josh. I thought he called a great game tonite. He didnt tell jj taylor to fumble or wynn to give up sack after sack. And we had -1 yards rushing. At some point the players have to play. This team makes too many mistakes on the field quite uncharacteristic of pats teams. They need to clean that up.
I’d like to think that whatever it was that got between Brady and Bill+ Brady and the Patriots was patched tonight and they’re on really good terms again. I think Brady appreciated what the team did for him tonight to recognize him.
Maybe Brady really will retire a Patriot. I’d really hate to see him consider himself a TB Buccaneer first after retirement like Manning considers himself a Denver Bronco not a Colt.
He’s never said that but he’s basically never talked about them for years and when he retired he did it in a ceremony in Denver drowning with Broncos regalia and didn’t then go to Indy or anything.
It’s comforting to know Mac Jones has the “it factor” and will have a solid 10-15 year career here. Just has to keep developing and hopefully we get him a true #1 receiver sooner than later.
BB was the main reason that they had a chance to win the game, you simpleton. NOBODY thought that the Pats would be able to hold the Bucs under 20 points.
I guess I wasn't expecting us to make the playoffs, so the 1-3 start is not especially disappointing to me. I was hoping that Mac would prove to be a legitimate successor to TB and that the Pats would show improvement through the season, finishing with maybe a 9-8 record. So far, everything points to Mac being the right choice. We'll have to wait to see if the Pats steadily get better.
I still think the supposed bad blood is so much media drivel. Never heard either man say one bad word about the other. Moving on was a business decision.
Brady didn't quit and wasn't fired. He was offered a better deal wlsewhere. Brady decided not to give the team the hometown discount because he wanted to cash in on his last few years as an elite player. Bill was in a cap bind and decided not to meet his expanded asking price. Brady found someone who would. We drafted a QB who looks like he's going to take the team in a good direction. end of story. No backroom BS need apply.
Sometimes employers and employees part on amicable terms because their business interests just stop aligning.

1. Mac under pressure. Good performance by the kid hanging in the pocket while getting clobbered.
2. Going 67% (2 - 3) in RZ. It was at 25% 1st three games.
The Bad:
1. Getting pushed around in the trenches: -1 rushing yds while allowing 119 yds. Not creating enough QB pressures.
2. Going 2-9 in 3rd down efficiency.
3. TO differential at -2
4. TOP -8 minutes
5. Way too many stalled drives due to penalties, sacks, TOs, and 3rd down inefficiency. Being too one dimensional.
6. The Loss because of 1 thru 5.
Penalties were even (7-74 vs 8-77) for both teams, so not the reason for this loss.
There's no way this is a playoff caliber team if they can't run the ball or stop the run. We can't expect Mac to carry this team on his arm while being assaulted every time he drops back.

The whole issue is expectations. If you were like me and were hoping for a season like last years Chargers where Herbert shows he a franchise guy despite the team going 7-9 you’re happy. If you were someone hoping for a season where maybe the division was in play, or at least the wildcard, you’re gonna be pretty letdown.

Kinda where I am at this year. It’s all about Mac Jones development. He’s the future of the franchise. He’s already good but a long way to go. We are not a SB contender and likely won’t be for a few years.
