Belichick says Brady's departure was not a matter of not wanting him

This particular poster only posts one thing and that's " anti Bill"...there is never anything else that he posts or nothing that he adds to this forum. He drives me and Ross crazy with these ridiculous threads that he starts during the middle of the night. There is no discussion with him, it's just anti Bill, anti Bill, anti Bill. this schtick is really becoming tiring.
Yeah there are others that are anti someone else and its over and over derailing threads as well...I am never going to get on someone for having an opinion, I mean its a football board, but yeah there are some that have one thing in mind and thats it, and it can become tired to just see that over and over. Then again there are enough posters on this board to where there is plenty other things going on, so its easy to bypass those kinds of things.

Not sure, he seemed to know which players to bring in on Tampa...but I dont think Brady ever asked for any of that. I think it was that whole 2 year contract thing...
I think he wanted some semblance of control/input. Refer to his "I'm just an employee" presser.

It’s Brady/Bucs week. If every other football outlet/news/forums are discussing it, you’d think a Patriots fan forum would be.

I think every long time QB's wants some, but this notion he wanted all of it is silly. Every vet QB franchise guys, have input into teams. He probably should as well.

They deleted the thread it since I posted the article and then wrote that BB messed up and is changing the story now. That was considered too much by the Pro-BB Police.

This time I posted just the article and nothing else and this was considered borderline kosher enough to make through the censors.
Every post and every thread of yours is intentioned to throw shade at BB.

You already have the same thread in the TB12 sub-board....but you just had to create another one.

You are in the same class as DropKick with his Josh bashing.

Agree. Every single media outlet, print, radio, tv is discussing everything BB-TFB including the most important decision in recent Pats history, to part with the GOAT. It seems extremely odd that this type of discussion would be censored, in of all places, a Patriots forum.

There's plenty of other threads out there, from football to fnord's inflatable companions, for those that want to avoid this matter.

So what? Why can't you just put him or his threads on ignore? I'm not a fan of rehashing these things over and over but who does it really hurt? It's a football forum not some deep think tank one.

Hey @Biffins, you know I love you and while I know you’re obviously upset, I need you to temper the number of threads on this topic. The issue isn’t the topic, it’s the number of times we’re going there.

I’m cool with this thread going forward for those questioning Bill, etc, but let’s try and keep it here if possible.
Do you love Biffins the way BB loves TB?

I don't put posters on ignore. Thats a form of cancel culture IMO.

I want to see everything and if posters say something I like/don't like they will know. That's the purpose of a board- to absorb all opinions and PoVs whether you like them or not.

My main point is he already created the same freaking thread. He's wining because it was moved. His voice was heard and the mods have allowed for the discussion he wanted to have. No need for 2 threads.

Additionally, I don't have a problem (even though I don't like it) with Biffins's bashing/criticism of Bill once in a while but ************ hes non-stop. Same with DropKick and his over the top bashing of Josh every 10 minutes.

I mean I dont thing anyone likes just the same thing over and over. Football boards are like that though, sometimes people have strong feelings on things, so if he does not like Bill in one thread he is probably not going to like him in another, but when the I hate Bill posts come out in threads about Kittens then its probably an issue.

I'm fine with that. Only point is there is no need for 2 threads about the same topic.

Obviously I don't like his content and wish he'd cut back on the bashing of BB posts but it's a free country.

Whether he should or not isn't really the debate. Bill didn't bend, and Brady is a Buc. I think we can debate Bill's handling on this, and God knows it's been debated here ad nauseum.

To you point, do I think Brady wanted it all? No. Do I think Brady wanted to be treated differently than the other 52 players. Yup. do I think Bill could have found some middle ground to keep Tom happy at the end of the road? I don't think Bill is able do that. It's not in his militaristic nature.

I would have to disagree RW - while DKF does have a particular obsession with McDaniels bashing (I actually don't think he'll even say his name - he just says "the OC" lol), his posting is not entirely centered around that. Just had a good discussion with him in a thread this week about the OL play. He clearly strongly dislikes Josh but otherwise roots for the team to succeed.

I have to be honest with you. Brady should have been treated a bit differently. I am sure Bill is treated differently than just another coach. I get the notion that you do not want to favor players over each other, but all players are not on the same level. Thats just the way it is, and frankly I dont know that it didnt happen. I have yet to hear Brady say that or even make a point to that. Between the media and people talking for Bill and Brady, its hard to tell what is real.

There's the rub, right there.

It's not hard for me to think that he treated TB like everyone, with his Johnny Foxboro comments and all that. It's not hard for me to think that Bill was unbending in his treatment of the superstar QB, has his way or coaching clearly worked. It's not hard for me to see that Brady wanted to be treated differently, with the "I'm just the employee" comments and the "my husband just wants to be appreciated" comments from Gisele in the facebook special.

I'll be glad when it's all over. I'm at the point I don't even want to watch it Sunday. I don't want to watch Brady hang 50 on 'em, and I think he's gonna.

Then his obsession/ my perception drowns out any interesting discussion he may offer.

To be fair, he didn't create the thread in the Tom Brady forum.

He created it in the main board, because it's specifically about something Bill said in relations to the Patriots.

The mods didn't like it because Bliffin's commentary towards the article was negative. So they moved it to the Tom Brady forum.

This article deserves to be discussed on the main board because Bill Belichick is the coach of the Patriots.

If Bill was the coach of the Giants then it would make perfect sense why the thread was originally moved/deleted

Bill wanted Brady but on his terms.

Bill doesn't sound bitter about it, so people need to get over it and stop blaming Bill or Brady.

Bill could have changed his philosophy with Brady but he didn't want to and didn't need to.

The only person who should be judged is Kraft. He was the one with the option to either get rid of Bill and keep Brady or allow Brady to leave.

I still think Bill and Brady embrace post game. I don't think either one is upset with the other. Brady wanted a different role and found it with another organization. Nothing to be bitter about

OK but the thread was already there. Only reasons people create a 2nd thread is

a) honest mistake
b) raise the visibility to amplify a topic
c) look at me!

Knowing Biffins b and c are likely.

I think he just wanted it on the main board.

The thread in the Tom Brady forum should just be merged into this thread
