He wouldn't predict which remaining team would beat them, but the first one he mentioned was Baltimore at Batimore on Monday night. Said it's crazy loud in there and you don't know what could happen. Next was Pittsburgh the following week (short week) at home, and then the Giants game also at home in the final regular season game. Don't know how long Belichick would play the veterans in that one is the reason for that potential upset. I think he got ahold of some bad oysters or mushrooms or something and has lost his mind. Baltimore?

If they have a 90% chance of winning each game, the odds of winning 7 straight would be less than 50% (slightly).

In the playoffs, I'd give them less than 90% for each game. If 70%, the odds of running ther table goes down to 16%.

That's what my head says, but I'd still put it at 50-50.

i think the division teams have a better chance of beating us than balt or pitts.
The bills game on sunday night would be tougher than the baltimore one IMO

The odds against the Pats winning out are still high. But to say Baltimore will stop them... that's just crazy talk. The Ravens are the AFC version of the Redskins.

I always get a kick out of these geniuses that 'go out on a limb" and make these statements. If they do lose to somebody he'll walk around all puffy chested like he's the greatest analysts ever. If they do run the table then who could blame him for his prediction? After all, it's never been done in a 16 game season so he would have been stupid to make such a prediction. Couple that with, this Mr. brave, way out there on a limb guy won't even say what team. I guess he didn't think we'd see thorugh any of this.

This is the same thing as everyone picking who won't win the superbowl every year. Their prediction was perfect except they just missed on 1. Hey what genius!

Sure, and there's a chance a comet or meteor hits us this year and kills us all. Miami at NE in December? I wouldn't bet a dollar against a hundred on the Doll-fins in that one.

My feeling is that Belichick will go for the whole thing like a playoff spot depended on it. In other years, he has not pulled Brady or the rest hardly at all. Why would he start this year? He's psyched and so is the team to win the whole enchilada now.

I agree. One of these games could have bad weather conditions; that holds down the score; and then a bad bounce, bad call, or fluke turnover could decide the game.

I also agree with another post that you can still have a good passing game in the snow. But wind or driving rain would be more of a problem.

These Nimrods HAVE to say something. The unfortunate fact is that when they do, it's usually meaningless (like this 'prediction') or outright wrong. As others have said, the odds are against the Pats going undefeated so picking against them is actually the smart bet for a non-emotionally involved person. The football takes funny bounces, key contributors get injured, players have bad games and refs make bad calls.

I do think it ludicrous that the lousy Ravens are considered a likely threat to the pats W streak.

I still think its too early to talk running the table. The problem is that guys that make their living talking football need something to talk about.

Lets get it into December before any real talk on this subject means anything.

As for King, I used to really look forward to hearing his take every week. His proclivity to perpetuate "camera gate" really made me question his motives. Now I assume he is bringing up topics to stir the pot rather than give the objective view if the NFL that is sorely needed with all the crap reporting and programming feeding off the NFL....

more than that the familiarity between the teams can help more.

I don't think a good team will beat us, but I worry about a mediocre one.

As nice as wining 7 more regular season games woudl be - I would trade any one or even all of them if I could be assured of going undefeated in Jan and Feb!!

Nothing could be worse that running the table only to fall short in the Playoffs.

Fortunately, we have some really smart leaders on this team - coaches & players alike and they will have this team totally prepared to meet and beat all comers in this playoff run.

What a great time to be a Pats fan....

Giant game is at the Meadowlands.

Any football "Expert" that really believes Baltimore can pose a threat to the Patriots should be fired and then corn-holed. Baltimore's offense is pathetic. What more needs to be said? King's reasaoning is "It will be loud"???? Why??? Does Baltimore pump sound into their stadium too? Great analysis you media whore!

Seriously, after Harrison was lost in the Titans game in week 17 - do you really see Seymour Seau and Bruschi in the second half of a close game the weekend after Christmas.

I did sweat @Baltimore before their defense fell apart and their offense fell apart and their season fell apart.

If the Pats are 15-0, I would guarantee they go 16-0. In the Giants game, the Pats would have much much more at stake. The Giants might already have their playoff position set. The Pats would be playing for history. The game isn't going to be close, so we'll be able to win it & rest our starters in the second half. Also, Moss is going to enter the game with 21TDs, and BB will make sure he goes down in history also.

After all the shltty comments from various corners so far this year, I can guarantee that if there is any chance of obtaining a record or going undefeated, BB will go for it.

There isn't a big deal at all about playing the starters the entire Giant game either since there is a bye week after it if the W-L record holds up.
