Content Post another late night rant

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.
You are completely discounting Brady's ability to elevate those around him. There is a reason we were going nowhere in 2001 until he stepped on the field and all of a sudden the Oline gelled and Troy Brown didn't get cut again. Ty Law has said as well as Woody and McGinest. Brady changed the entire tenor of that team when he came on because let's face it that roster was one of the worst in SB history, if not the worst to win the SB.

I beg to differ, especially regarding the defense.

Cannot agree more. The "greatest offense on turf" was stymied and Brady didn't take a snap on defense that I recall. That doesn't discount his fourth quarter clutch gene, but it was all a part of the whole team effort to win that game.

Absolutely. The Patriots defense in 2001 was unheralded but elite. From Oct28 onward they held opponents to under 17 points every game through Superbowl win, except 1 time by the Rams' top offense. Held the high flying Raiders, Steelers, Rams to 17,13,17 points in the playoffs. The first 3 rings Brady was great as a clutch game manager but the foundation of the first 3 rings was all defense.

2001 game log, defensive points against:

Brady singlehandedly turned the Bucs around? Lol, do go on. AB, Gronk, Evans, Godwin all say hello. The defense that turned it on down the stretch would like a word as well.
7-9 without Brady the previous season with a lot of the same personnel. They don’t win it all without him, most likely the chiefs do.

Furthermore, from 2001-2004 allowed 17.4ppg in the reg season and 17.2 in the playoffs.

Toms game management and periodically rising to the occasion put them over the top but without that D, they would never be in that position.

That's why both BB and TB12 needed each other to achieve greatness

Dunno about elite- they did play a last place schedule in 2001- but they were really clutch. They made plays and got turnovers when they needed to in the biggest moments

Yes to be fair BB was yelling with his staff after 'can you believe we won with this f'ing team'. I think on the offensive side of the ball this was true. The game winning drive included JR f'ing Redmond, Jermaine f'ing Wiggins, a pathwork OLine, and their best offensive player was undrafted ultimate-teammate Troy Bingo Brown.

Suggest looking at the offensive rankings of the teams they played, average points they scored per game and what they did vs NEs D.

I think you'll discover they were elite as elite can be.

Neither would have won as much without the other. Both would have won some, with reasonable replacements for the other, without the other but not as much.
It’s a symbiotic relationship.

They went on a roll in December. That defense held two teams to 6 and 9 points. Unheralded but was very stingy in the red zone. If I remember correctly did give up yards but extremely stingy and clutch in red zone defense.

The 2001 D held teams about 7 ppg less than they averaged.

Do you not realize they haven’t made the playoffs since 2008? Also, Gronk, AB, Fournette don’t go to Tampa without Tom.

This is denial at its finest.
Duplicity at best. How does he single-handedly accomplish anything when you readily admit that supporting cast played a role?

Lol.

Lol.

When LeBron goes to a team and then 1 all star and a couple great role players join after, that's the draw of the superstar. Bucs don't go all the way last year with a different QB.

They still all have to contribute to the 'chip. Brady didn't single handedly win anything.

Who is saying Brady single handedly did anything? Brady hasn't single handedly won any of his 7 rings. But which QB could do what the Bucs did last year? What Brady did last year was special.

This is a losing battle for you. Take the L and move on.

The board is in denial that had Bledsoe played the entire season, they don’t make the playoffs. Their roster was old, slow and with a ton of retreads. They really didn’t have a good roster compared to other teams.

They also benefited from the perfect storm as the Raiders would’ve ended their Cinderella season with clear skies.

The original quote that started this *********** literally claimed Brady single handedly turned the Buc's around. That's a gross oversimplification.

The owner/coach being willing to let Brady weigh in on personnel decisions was as much responsible for Brady landing there as anything else.

Did Brady single handedly make that decision?

He sure as hell didn't single handedly win the SB. The Tampa front 7 molly whopped KC all night.

Was he instrumental? Sure. Single handedly? Lol. When did he buy the team?

Orr might've been the most talented, but Russell was the most successful, so maybe we're talking about two different adjectives...
Don’t get me wrong. I love Bill Russell.
but Orr revolutionized the game while simultaneously turning around the franchise
