A QB is bound to get hurt and placed on IR for the season.

Cam will ride again.
Too many better options. Cam is through.

If he says anything negative about NE... I will definitely lose my respect for him. I've respected his attitude and leadership despite his shortcomings ability wise. If he doesn't even have that then I can't show him any respect.

This is just a thread about Andy trying to make up for his failed draft 5 first round picks for a better QB thread.

Of course he got shat on and that is the reason why these redemption threads exist.

Bears fans were booing Andy Dalton because they want Justin Fields. If some people are racist, whatever racism they have takes a backseat to their favorite sports team winning. No exceptions.

Now that Cam’s out of the NFL, maybe we need to look into these racists at ESPN who aren’t offering him a job after all the praise they’ve given him.

As most of you know, I'm an old timer as an NFL fan...IMO Cam was cut because, as was seen last year, he was proficient at too low a level in the playbook, his arm angle was low at this point in his career and the threat of him running on busted plays had dropped precipitously . What BB wants from an offense is the abiltiy to morph into whatever scheme he thinks fits the upcoming opponent's defensive tendencies. Mac demonstrated a superior grasp of the offensive playbook, by all accounts, far superior. BB made the right decision IMO. Using race as the primary motive is ludicrous.

I'm not so sure he is done yet. I'm pretty sure Ryan FitzPickSix is still on a roster somewhere. Then again he was always labelled 'cerebral' qb given Harvard.

sCam has never been known as cerebral. If anything, his most famous moment on the gridiron was an amazing example of how little awareness he actually has (handing 5head SB because 'business decision' on fumble).

It's not like he had next week to worry about.

Cam getting a new deal with the Patriots shocked me much more than him getting cut. I know it was a low-risk deal, but it made no sense for the reasons you gave. This guy just ain’t it.

They were in a pinch last year, so signing him for pennies was fine.

Let’s just look at the “Cam is a great guy” narrative. Cam played in college for Urban Meyer (before getting kicked off) and in the pros for Ron Rivera and Bill Belichick

Cam has stated he’d be fine being a backup. And despite his limitations, I think he’d be an ideal backup who is at least competent if needed.

So, why is it that all three coaches have treated him like he’s radioactive at the prospect of him being the backup, when teams would usually get in bidding wars for a solid veteran, former MVP, who is still decent? And no other team even wants to consider him. What does this suggest about his real, off-camera locker room presence?

This is the only time I’ve ever heard the bizarre excuse that no one wants a quarterback because he’s too famous to be a backup (like Edelman said). Isn’t that code for “this guy has a giant ego and will be a distraction?”

Have you seen his Instagram font? There's no question he's a massive ego. "Funky Friday!" - is he going to announce where he's going to bring not one...not two...not three...'chips?

Every team already has them on their roster.
31 other teams didn’t want Newton in 2020. 31 other teams didn’t want newton In 2021.
32 teams don’t want him today.
Why would that change?
