Jerry Glanville was pretty much brutal in all ways.
Don Criqui too.

..and that asshat he was paired with in the 80s and 90s Bob Trumpy. He was a 1st class jerk.

If they get destroyed mentally, then they were never going to be Tom Brady. But, you can get more or less out of the vast majority of players depending on how you develop them. Put another way, I think there is definitely something going on when dumpster fire franchises consistently take good prospects and have them looking like complete trash after a few years.
Well coaching matters. Players aren’t close to a finished product when they are drafted.

Mental toughness isn’t only a Brady trait. If you don’t have it you aren’t going to be a winning NFL QB. Being able to be “destroyed mentally” by completion is a total lack of mental toughness.

To be clear, I am not calling out the poster, merely the tweet and the PFF stat.

Re: stats made up, it's 19.35%, based on extensive research.
Great post.

And, one of the benefits of some recent threads is that I've found out that meaning of the term "research" has evidently changed over the years, I used to think it meant getting an education and reading peer reviewed journals and doing laboratory experiments to prove hypotheses, but nowadays "research" seems to mean....well....I'll let the cartoon speak for itself

Shoulda posted this in yesterday's Cam/COVID thread.

Brandon the King absolutely ****ing sucks...I cannot wait for the day when that waste of ****ing space leaves the building for good.

Today's profane rant about a special teams player is brought to you by the same poster who spent years grousing about wasting a roster space on Matthew Slater, and who more recently fumed over wasting a late 5th-round pick on a freaking punter like Jake Bailey.

I don't don't think the captain finds special teams very special.

Captain to everyone in this thread

I disagree. We are deep enough with Mills and Bryant savvy enough to play CB/S.

I am OK with rolling with Michael Jackson or Bryant on the roster for a few weeks until Gilmore is ready to go.
The irony in this is it doesnt matter what they do - stand pat or make a move - either will be the wrong move for many here. I can hear the posts even now:

"How could the Pats waste precious draft capital for X player?! That pick ended up being superstar Y!"

"Not using draft picks in getting X player is typical Patriots stupidity!"

It's just like listening to media opinion shows on CNN or Fox...spin, spin, spin, spin.

To be fair, the Captain does not care about race, creed, color, gender, vaccination status, etc. - they all suck. He is not prejudice and very inclusive.
It's the mantra of the instructors at BUD/S "I will treat you all the exact same way...just like ^%$#!"

I really hope that BB gives Mac the starter reps in the game Sunday vs the giants. I really want to see what Mac can do with the starters against a starting defense!
I think he has to. After Cam missing all week of practice, it's not typical for BB to let that guy start, let alone play much. It'll probably be Mac for 1st half, (and maybe 1st drive of 2nd half) then Hoyer.

It'll be interesting to see how they play it. Their 1st game isn't until 13 days later. In theory both Mac and Cam need reps and maybe Hoyer a few.

My preference is Mac starts and goes till 1st drive or so of 2nd 1/2. Give Cam a couple of reps, then Hoyer cleans up.

The problem is that'll send this region into a tizzy.

Oh well.
