Agholor back is big, especially with Henry out. Hopefully Asiasi can get up close to full speed quickly so they can see if he's actually capable of filling in for Henry in the short term (if Hunter ends up missing regular season time).

High hopes for Asiasi

Anyone know what Hall's prognosis is? With MacMillan out now, he'd be nice competition with Bentley for the reserve role.

Good question. I think they are also working Jennings inside.

Yeah, and Van Noy can take a few snaps inside if enough guys are clicking on the edge. Just want as many options as possible at this stage so we increase the odds of finding proper depth.

Phew, good to see Agholor back. He's definitely WR1... but interesting to see that Harry appears to be Agholor's primary backup in his role yesterday. At the same time, I have a hard time seeing them carry all of Agholor, Bourne, Meyers, Harry, Olszewski, AND Wilkerson, but also Henry, Smith, Asiasi AND potentially LaCosse... even if you don't count Gunner, it's either 5 WRs OR 4 TEs (IMO) but not both... might even be neither.

My impression is BB looks for different things which are not "countable" in stats, stats for itself have also their own story, you can polish your stats if you want to impress and live for stats like Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees, whats important is:
- can you read the defense?
- can you adjust on the fly?
- do you make smart decision on the field?
- are you fast in taking this decisions?
- are you learning from your mistakes or are you repeating it all over again?

currently the only thing that is in Cams favour is (perhaps his leadership) and mainly his experience compared to the rookie Mac, everything else they are at least on same level or Mac is already ahead of Cam
Agreed...he's not a stats only guy.

Why couldn’t he just answer the HoF question instead of giving a line of BS? I mean at least say “I feel like we had several guys that were deserving of a spot, but that’s up to the voters.” Everyone knows that you’re aware of the voting process.
IMO, there are 2 big reasons why there are so few players from the '00s:

1) Never has a dynastic franchise ever had its coaching/system/culture credited with so much of its success. Kraft/Bill have been front and center trumpeting the Patriot Way from the first championship on. I am not saying they were wrong for doing so but it is very difficult for players to be recognized from championship teams when the org itself has taken so much credit.

2) 2010-2019 decade was more successful than the 00s. This has probably hurt the first generation of players the most. If the teams of 2010 forward were good teams that won 1 or 2 SBs with say 3 trips then I think the 00s are looked at differently. This is also why Brady in addition to Bill/Kraft is credited with so much of the success of the 20 years because he was the only one that carried over both runs and he is the QB.

So it kind of stinks in a lot of ways but the shine kind of came off those guys a bit when the next generation of players came on the scene and won chips.

..the NKeal Harry hype is funny. With the exception of injuries, it makes zero sense when the season starts, to force a target to a 50% catch rate, 9ypc bust over 6 other better pass catchers and route runners in Meyers, Bourne, Agholor, Henry, Smith, and James White. Harry shouldn't even be in more than 20 snaps a game if this offense is actually playing well and healthy.
While I share the sentiment that Harry has so far been a total bust, I certainly hope that he can reverse it.

In the absolute, his ability to catch a pass might be below all of those guys you mentioned. But all assets/ skills are not interchangable. He is a strong-blocking big-bodied WR, unlike many/most of those other guys. That COULD BE a nice tool to have, if (and only if) he were to "get it". It is valuable to have some skills that you can plug into a game plan with vs. certain defenders, as opposed to treating all WRs as swiss army knives in your toolbox.
