Jake was a little before my time, but I don't think so...he has definitely shown some flashes and had his moments during his first two years. I will admit, he is playing a position that is really loaded and with drafting Perkins in round 3 as well, his confidence can't be too high.

The reason I mentioned the two together is that, similar to Wino, DeBrusk's career started decently enough but then went into the toilet last season... Hope that history doesn't repeat itself here, because after Judon there's nothing but question marks (Wino, Perkins) - or worse (Wise) - at DE.

In the same vein, I wouldn't read too much into anything Belichick says about players during press conferences right now. Of course he's going to pump up Cam, because there is absolutely zero benefit to doing anything otherwise at this stage.

You mean like Cam being way ahead of where he was last year, when last year he wasn't even on the team yet?
