Personally, so many people are COVID long haulers, taking months to get their heads clear and energy levels back. I wouldn't be surprised if that played a role, because he looked like a world beater before it happened.

Oakland game is often forgotten about. Arguably his worst game of the year. Gruden screwed up when he stopped running the ball.

That said I definitely believe Covid played a factor.

I also believe that Cam will be better this coming season...After all, when you're the Worst QB in the league with as many starts as he had last season, then there's nowhere to go but up...But now Bill has a viable Plan B in place, and he's chasing Papa Bear & Shula (the Real Reason he started Cam vs the Jete), so he's not going to give him nearly as much rope as he did when Hoyer & Stid were his only options.
