If any team is going to expose Brady as a system quarterback, its going to be the pats. Bill made him, Bill can destroy him.
I get what you're saying that Bill of all coaches knows Tom very well and will have a game plan to attack him - but nobody is exposing Brady as a system quarterback. That take expired 18 years ago.

Edit: Grow up. Moving on doesn't mean you adopt rival fans talking points and feeling compelled to mock and demean him in order to keep your Patriots fan card. He's still playing and im still a fan. Im also a Patriots fan and have season tickets. I drive 3 hours to get to Gillette. You dont have to be one or the other you can be both. The wife thing was an analogy, duh. Belichick dont care about me or you either. I mean if he took a job coaching another team i wouldnt mock and dismiss his coaching greatness toprove hiw much a Pats fan I am.
Brady isnt on the team anymore. Bill is. Its time for you to grow up and move on.

Moving on means letting go. Moving on means not having Brady thrown in our faces every time the Patriots lose a game. Moving on means not gloating about the accomplishments of another team. If you feel that strongly about him, maybe its time you start to think about whether or not you really are a fan of Brady or the Patriots. At this point it is mutually exclusive.

I was a season ticket holder. I went to every game for 20 years starting almost a decade before Brady got here. I froze my ass of on aluminum benches. I peed behind the concourse because there werent enough bathrooms... I drove two hours to get to the stadium. Flew to other cities to see them play. Paid for three super bowls as well. So don't try and pull that i'm a fan crap. It holds no water because we all are fans. It doesnt make you any better or any worse than the guy who cant afford to go or the guy who lives so far away its not practical.

Simple fact is the guys who nut hug Brady need to step back and realize that there is a team with out him. So maybe its not me who needs to grow up. Maybe its you who needs to learn to let go of that binkie you hold onto so dearly.

The fact that this team didn’t have any hope and excitement at the QB position when Brady left didn’t help.

I really hope Jones pan out.
And this time Cam WILL get the hook if he's stinking it up. He is healthy, with a normal offseason and and has some talent to work with this time so no excuses. And Jones/Stidham is a real QB bench. Stidham/Hoyer wasn't. Very different situation than last year.

Ditto. 1 year under 500 really sucked. Can't wait for opening day
I'm 30. I've spent 2/3 of my natural life watching a franchise win and play almost until February on an annual basis. I can be critical at some personnel decisions but I think this team is afforded some down years after all this success. I'm sure the old, but sagely farts here would love to remind me of all the down years.

"You need to think the same way I think because how I think is right and how you think is wrong"

Then you be a fan your way and I'll be a fan my way. And if anyone doesn't like my way of fandom where I express appreciation for the greatest QB of all time who led this team to 6 championships, well they can go cry in their milk.

So many people would never have joined this forum, or cared about the Patriots, if it weren’t for Tom Brady.

Im not saying im a better fan because i have sesson tickets but i think it proves that im loyal to the Pats. Thats something thats been questioned because im still a Brady fan. Most of New England remains a Brady fan. Doesnt mean they've let go of the Pats. Ill root for him for as long as he plays. Ill root for the Pats always.

Im a Patriots season ticket holder. Are you? Im here on the Patriots forum and I have to get Brady's name thrown in my face with your every post. Why are YOU here?

maybe you should trade those in for Bucs season tickets ..

Im an old fart. We cant walk in each others shoes. Rags to riches vs riches. Not a criticism but you cannot know the joy of watching that field goal as time expired in SB 36 for those of us that endured the previous 40 years. When the Rams came back in thec4th quarter the way they did i thought it was going to be another 40 year drought

No one is whining about "a down season." That's just a straw man to pretend critical fans are "spoiled" and "ungrateful." I guess anything to take the focus off the fact that in a three year span, Bill Belichick made one of the most questionable decisions in Super Bowl history which in hindsight probably cost the team the only 3-peat ever, caused the greatest tight end ever to retire rather than play for him (and then later paid a more money for much lesser tight ends, despite holding firm on Gronk's salary), and failed to keep the greatest quarterback of all-time satisfied, choosing instead to double down and triple down on The Patriot Way and "next man up."

And when fans ask for accountability, or at the very least, recognition that Bill has fcked up royally, they're just marginalized and their "true Patriots fandom" is called into question.

This is why this divide exists right now and probably will as long as Bill remains in charge and Brady remains in Tampa.

I don't really give a crap if people think I'm a real fan or not. I've been a Belichick fan boy almost as much as a Brady fan boy for many years, but I also recognize that a once great philosophy has become a liability.

For the record, I hear you and I'm not criticizing anyone. The comment was kind of tongue in cheek, and I don't get why people flame those that still have an attachment to Brady. He was a hero and the "you're either against him or against us" seems a bit harsh.

I had fun watching Brady and the Bucs romp to and through the Superbowl last year. The Pats were in rebuild mode and it was pretty obvious by about week 6 that they weren't going anywhere.

Now I can't wait for Brady to retire, and take Gronk with him.

So, BB is not going to pull all the strings out and allow Brady to win in Foxboro?

Im sure that BB would enjoy the remainder if the season if that happens.

Either you have confidence in BBs judgement in matters such as this or you dont. His drafting has been good to terrible at times, but when BB moves on a from a tenured player, he has overwhelming been correct. Brady is one of a few to leave NE and go on to success.

Ty Law
Chandler Jones
Seymour
Branch
Jimmy Baby
Mankins
Soldier
Vereen
Woody

A cursory list of guys who went nowhere.

Amazing, in that list only like 3 players weren’t at the end of their career and one was Chandler Jones who’s been FIRST TEAM ALL PRO TWICE since being traded.

Tom sr should quiet down

Nice bulletin board material for Cowboys, Falcons, Rams and Pats

Yeah remember when the 2007 Giants, 2010 Jets, 2011 Giants, 2012 Ravens, and 2017 Eagles ran their mouths and we kicked their ass? Or when half the team was making fun of the Rams in the video of the locker room postgame at the AFCCG and then Patrick Chung said we’d kick the Rams asses live on stage at a rally and they then beat us?

Oh wait.

I’m hoping he wins a couple of more cause we sure ain’t winning one with sham newton. Brady was the franchise. Hoping to see mac this coming season and less of newton.
