OK, I'm in the Shanghai Dragonair airport lounge and expect to take some heat for this, but I have to pose it anyway... and it is sincere.

Do you think there is any tiny percentage of AV that actually wants the Pats to be successful against the Colts. I mean, I KNOW that he is a COLT, and I KNOW that he roots for them outwardly and almost entirely inwardly. But I guess what I'm wondering is if he had a hint of satisfaction in watching his old team (the team he became a STAR with and climbed the mountain with 3X) pull one out, just like the old days. Like .0001% satisfaction?

OK, I hate Adam for what he did to us, but only because I loved him so much before. And someday I'll love him again. Yes, he went for the money and whatever else. But he's still a human, and still must have some feelings for his old teammates, coaches, unis, etc. No?

Anyway, that's what you think about when drinking heavily Shanghai Dragonair airport lounge. What do y'all think?

I think there is a part of him that wants us to succeed. They were showing him after the game hugging old teammates with a big smile (& the Pats players were the same). The players don't hate eachother. If we leave one job for a better paying one at a competitor do our co-workers hate us (& vice versa?)? No. You get over the shock & then get together once in a while. (This of course doesn't mean the boss doesn't think you stiffed him!)In the end it has worked out for both teams. Adam is the old man in a dome and we have a young guy with a gun for a leg which is better for us.

Now, as a fan, I hope he shanks every kick he makes. It was SWEET when he missed that 50 yarder, apparently tipped by Seymour!

Freud would indeed weigh in here with a possibly, part of the Id is at work, tamping down the Ego he's built up on the Colts. This is the same part of us that gets us into trouble when we see trouble coming beforehand. It keeps us humble. There are always those times when you take your eye off the ball, something wrong happens, and you go back and immediately realize that it was all your fault because you dozed.

It was printed in the Globe and I downloaded it from the Globe web site but it is pretty small there. I suppose that the Globe probably has a photo sales department. If anyone finds out what a print/high quality graphic file would cost, I'd be interested too. (My Christmas present from me to me? )
