LBs on SI cover
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff

Patriots linebackers Adalius Thomas, Mike Vrabel, Junior Seau, Tedy Bruschi and Rosevelt Colvin are on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated. The headline reads: "Still smiling, still perfect: 9 down, 10 to go."

The article that runs with the story has a headline that reads "Welcome to the 'Backerhood" and notes that Thomas, Vrabel, Seau, Bruschi and Colvin are "five disparate personalities, five enormous talents, one peerless unit." The article explores "how New England's linebacking corps personifies the Patriot Way."

This is the second time in four weeks that the Patriots are on the cover. Patriots QB Tom Brady was on the SI cover after the Patriots defeated the Cowboys on Oct. 14.

thats perfect. just perfect. :rocker:

OMG, I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May be my favorite SI cover of all time (and NO, I DON'T believe in that jinx).

BTW, take THAT Shannon Sharpe!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Bruschi not smiling?

I wonder when the rest of the country will get tired of Boston sports.....................who gives a crap. My wife bought me a gift which came with four issues of SI. So far, everyone of them has had a Boston cover.

Don't forget the week 1 "Scary" cover featuring Randy Moss!

That the fourth consecutive S.I. cover with a Boston theme (and 6 of the last 9). Man, we rule.

and the one featuring Brady "yeah that good", the Red Sox WS one and the Celtics trio as the NBA issue.......

"We've always had chemistry in that room," says Bruschi. "But in the other championship years [2001, '03, '04] we were younger guys. Now we have so many more years under our belt. We appreciate everything that's going on. The wins, the jokes, the people, everything."

LOL, I had to laugh at this. The other years. Yeah.

This certainly won't be the last. And I like they said 10 to go...and not 7. 19-0 is the goal every season where BB is concerned even though we approach it 1 game at a time. And we can survive a whiff every now and again as long as we run the table in January/February.

Polian's Week 10 office dart board...Nice to see our senior citizens get some bye week love.

I wonder when they posed for that picture and if it was before the game, did they take one of some Colts also to use in case they won??

Same here. I haven't bought an issue in years and years, but this one will change that.

I gotta agree.

I bought the "Yes THat Good" one, but this one is even better.
