If you’ve been struggling to choose the right Patriots throwback uniform thread on the front page of PatsFans, you’re not alone. After earning my PhD in Thread Creation For Already Oversaturated Thread Topics But Looking to Add Another, and hearing from so many disillusioned members in this forum, I present to you the very best option.

“This isn’t an actual quote from me, but if it were, I’d whole heartedly endorse this thread as the authoritative discussion on Patriots throwback uniforms.” - @Actual Pats Fan

I feel like you do when you can't pull yourself away from the TV and you're inundated with infomercials.

Or, as it was accurately put in the early 80's when Edmonton racked up dominant statistical seasons in the inferior Western Conference, the Oilers would arrive in the Cup finals against the hardened, physical Eastern team like you feel after eating an entire bag of marshmallows.

On the eve of my surgery, I think back to how I eschewed a career in the medical profession due to an aversion to messy, ugly images.

Ironic that I nevertheless spent the last 28 years watching and rooting for a home pro football team with hideous, ghastly uniforms and the image of a sick, sad, diseased, decaying corpse of a logo which replaced the best in sports we had for 32 years.

I know Ian's busy but maybe it's time to merge them all into one Malcolm Butler-esque Mega Thread. But I've been accurately accused of steering any thread into a uniform 'discussion' [complaint rant]. By thus driving away many established and prospective posters, you'd expect me to get in trouble, but in fact I'm helping the online ecosystem to survive by keeping the population down.

Um, so you're welcome.

Thank you for your endorsement of this thread. I'll cut you in on the profits.

The goal all along has been for Ian to merge these into a Mega Thread, with this thread remaining as the OP, so that I can rule over all Patriot Throwback Uniform and Discussion threads like a totalitarian ruler.

Three logo/uniform threads out of 40 threads on Page One, in a dead part of the offseason is offensive to your sensitive senses?

Somebody needs to grow a bit thicker skin.

Please merge them all together and make me the OP and Overlord of Throwback Uniform and Logo threads. I can assure you, you won't regret this decision.

I think we're just having fun with some meta humor about the state of the forum. If it offended OP, the response probably wasn't going to be another thread.

In fact, I am surprised how little improvement there has been in Patriots' fandom the last quarter century. Oh, there has been championship achievement, to be sure. How fortunate that Coleman did not decide to ignore the rules in the Snow Bowl, and that Troy Brown's career was not ended in the 2003 preseason. But, how little fans themselves have changed. Yes, it appears we will do quite well in your century, APF. Do you have any other, 'questions'?"

Or perhaps some pine for the days when we had the equivalent of 38 game day threads rants on page one.

Maybe if we talk about the uniforms enough, the media will pick up on it and talk about it.
