This seems like a good spot if we want to get a QB. This isn't what BB is usually known for but RK said they would be changing their approach this time around. I think Atlanta's asking price is probably a 1st round pick definitely but also other assets. I don't know if we would have enough assets for one pick.

BB tried to trade up for Baker Mayfield so I think if there is a guy he likes, then he will trade up. We have the draft capital and have filled open spots on the roster in FA. Trying to guess what BB will do in the draft is pointless because i never get it right. We will see very soon how this plays out.

FWIW (nothing), I recently read that Tom Curran claimed that Arthur Blank would not be open to a trade with the Patriots because he was still pissed about the Pats including '28-3' reference (283 diamonds) on their Super Bowl 51 rings.

That was like 4 years ago lol

On a side note I stumbled across what it cost the Patriots to move up in the 1984 Draft to get to number one, and select Irving Fryar:

1st round pick (#16 overall)
1st round pick (#28 overall)
10th round pick (#265 overall)
following season 5th round pick (#129 overall)

I have a theory that BB signed all of those free agents so he didn't have to draft as many people because he wants one guy.

15th pick obviously
Stephon Gilmore
3rd next year
2nd this year

that's a lot of assets

Well he would be dumb to turn down a beneficial trade for his organization over something so trivial, but he seems exactly like the type of owner that would

84 draft was nothing special. Other than Fryar, Wilbur Marshall, and Carl Banks, the entire first round was pretty much a bust...

sounds like a successful way to run a franchise for sure

probably why Art had to build a new wing for all those Lombardi's

No. Doesn't make sense without knowing who the first 3 players taken are.
Going for the 4th or 5th QB left on the board is not that exciting, while giving up extra picks, compared to possibly taking the #1 defensive player at their respective position at 15. Let's try to not decimate the roster like our OC did with the Denver Broncos.

.

That makes a lot of sense. Sanu was worth no more than 6th Rd pick.

The price for the Pats was a 2nd Rd pick.

And now Ziegler is involved more on the personnel side. Not good. We need fewer John Carroll people in the war room, not more idiocy from Ziegler and McDaniels.

you're not getting there without at least 2 1sts in the package

i feel like the value of the no.4 or 5 qb is much lower especially if fields is gone. so wait until draft day and see how the draft plays out. trading up for jones or lance shouldn't cost close to what the dolphins got. if it does, stay put and grab parsons or bpa and grab a project qb in the 2-3 instead of the first.
