Kraft acknowledges drafting woes, says approach is changing

When I am him talk, I hear a guy that has a major inferiority complex. It was stunning the 180 he did last year refusing to admit how awful the drafting has been and instead blaming the cap and "going all in" and Covid. And now here is Kraft saying the drafts have stunk. LOL. Pretty sure the nudge came from Kraft and not from some "self-reflection" from Bill.
Lmao, the last thing Belichick has is an inferiority complex.

Bill should have some input into the draft. But he's not a first ballot HOF lock for being a GM, only for his coaching. Arguably nobody better at it. Times change and so must the 6 time World Champ Patriots way of doing things.

So let Bill cook with the groceries not shop for them.
Belichick’s deal with Kraft is one where he runs football operations, not Kraft, taking that away is no different than firing him, and you know that. What you want is for Kraft to fire Belichick, even though you don’t have the slightest clue on who you would replace him with. I’m really not sure why you and the other haters don’t just become Bucs or Chiefs fans, as frontrunning is the only gear you guys know. None of you can name a better coach or GM, as no one has Belichick’s track record of accomplishments. You should all call Foxborough and give them your fantasy football credentials, and then wait for Kraft to call you.

That is true.

But the offense wouldn't have taken the huge step backwards that it did if Branch was still around.
If we are looking at the entire year, I agree. They would have scored more points and maybe had better seeding.

But in a vacuum, they scored enough points in that game to win- especially when they allowed only 14 a game in 06.

Where did I say I wanted Belichick to be fired? I do remember saying the opposite of that quite a bit. I also said he should still have input into the draft.

Belichick's "track record of accomplishments" doesn't mean a lot when it comes to rebuilding this team in 2021 and how to move forward and get this team back on track. I completely disagree with the idea that Bill has as much time as he wants to rebuild. He doesn't, and I think it sounds like Kraft agrees.

You just hear voices in your head like someone scratching a chalkboard.

I think the seeding meant everything. Just one more win would have done it. Pats would beat them in Foxboro imo. No thermostat being turned up, no hostile road crowd, probably no ref making up a face guarding call, and all that.

to be honest, the pats had no business getting past the chargers but the ball bounced really well for them

Meh. They beat BAL on the road the prior week. That Colts team was a tougher bunch than prior years.

So Belichick is completely incompetent, now?

You might want to take a look at some recent free agent signings the Patriots have completed. Just saying.

The 2006 Patriots offense scored more points and won two more games than the 2005 Patriots. Not exactly the traits of that guy's "huge step backwards".

the colts had already beaten them in foxboro that year......as did the jets and broncos......just sayin'

I didn't know offenses win football games by themselves, I thought it was a team stat. And the 2005 Patriots had one of the worst defenses in the league, so their offense then wasn't really the issue.

Brady's passer rating in 2005 was 92.3 in 2006 it was 87.9. Not sure how that isn't a huge step backwards. Doubt that would have happened if they didn't let Branch walk.

Saying Kraft should take player personnel away from Belichick is absolutely no different than firing him as his deal with Kraft gives him complete control over it, and he never would have agreed to it without it, nor would he continue with the Patriots without it. Belichick built the greatest dynasty in NFL history despite a hard cap, free agency, and draft structure built to make that impossible. And as many have argued that Brady has had multiple HOF careers within his career so has Belichick had multiple dynasty’s within one overall dynasty, The teams that won the first 3 Lombardi’s are different from the teams that won the last 3, and as we saw in 2019 it took more than a QB to win them. You and the rest of the haters are fantasy football GM’s who think you know more than Belichick, and you are the ultimate fair weather fans. Take away control over player personnel and Belichick’s office is cleaned out twenty minutes later, with absolutely no one to replace him and 2/3 of the teams in this league calling Belichick and trying to outbid each other for his services. In short it’s the most ignorant thing I have ever seen on this site, and that is truly saying something.

So teams need both an offense and defense to win? Interesting, that means the coach/ GM has to build a complete team to win a championship, and Belichick built teams that won 9 Conference Championships and 6 Lombardi’s. Since you want him gone feel free to show us who will do a better job? Can’t wait to see it.

06 had a decent running game and a better D which gave the O more opportunities.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say the 06 offense would have benefited tremendously from Deion.

Buddy, you might study the game.

Football is won by how many points you score in a game and that has to be higher than your opponent. More points scored infers more wins.

The "huge step back but scoring more points" concept isn't Mensa material.

Nobody, ever won higher passer rating to passer rating on the scoreboard.

You're just pulling that stat out of your you know what to convince yourself of who knows what.

Here is the good news. You and Kraft want Belichick gone because of your resentment of your boi leaving. Just own it and quit wasting everyone's time with your posting.
