Idle thoughts - Jimmy G, Cam and Stiddy

Like I said, this only applied to the last couple of rs season games and the playoffs, they definitely changed their style at year end.

The SD game was the opposite as I recall: NE snuffed them by running from the 1st series on, then poured it on with play action passing as the game went on. But the running was the story of that game.

The SB game plan from the outset was to run and wear down LA, it wasn't some on the fly change cause Brady was having troubles. Our OL matched up well against these teams compared to our WR matchups, and we went with the running game by design, even with a great QB at the helm.
your just blurting out assertions and not even looking for facts. i just posted above that the only real run heavy game was the buffalo game in the 2nd half of the season. maybe spend the time to look through the stats.

sure, they typically run more towards end of season than the beginning of the season..but thats probably been common for a while in foxboro

in regards to the chargers game, here the 1st half breakdown:
31 pass plays 17 run plays

you're just selectively remembering the big game from Sony that was setup by the passing success

re: super bowl, sure ill agree they started running first to drives, but they quickly moved to primary pass game. i

The postseason was indeed run heavy there’s no denying that but at the end of the day our offense was presented with multiple 3rd and longs where it was either convert or go home and only one QB in the league was making them all.
Agree with all this. The run and the threat of the run was the dominant feature of the offense in late 2018, but Brady was the master of mixing in passes to balance things and keep the D honest. We were not winning those games without the dominant run offense, but in the clutch Brady made the plays vs KC and was amazing that night.

I watched every minute of all these games. The story was the Pats complete re-do of their offense to be run-oriented behind Trent Brown. That established everything else.

yeah, im not sure why the poster making some revisionist history in saying won on the pass that year. thats not to say we didnt put the ball in Brady's hands to make several tough throws and he did to win the KC game.

but, I remember the tough loss against the Steelers where we struggled. After that game, they changed the offense around and went run first offense to set up the pass because 2018 is when our offensive skill players talent started to decrease.

Ben got 8 games. Doubt Watson gets more than that.

Ben probably assaulted 2 women IIRC but it was 2009ish and the local police helped cover it up.

No way Kraft is going to have their Franchise player being someone accused of sexual assault of masseuse’s.
Just when everyone stopped asking questions and totally forgot about his masseuse issues.
It’s a match made in heaven, he could double date with Robert.
