Adam Humphrey anyone?

Don't be such a ****y whiner. For ANY QB to succeed here, the Pats need to improve their WR group. Humphrey's could be a low cost addition that would be an "improvement".

Based on your wimpy reply maybe you think we should all move on to other teams until the Pats discover the SECOND best QB in NFL history since what would those other 52 players do without a QB of that ability.  :disgust:

You're the worst kind of fan. One more season like this and hopefully we wean you out of here.

If he was dirt cheap, give it a shot. If not, the team can do better.

We already have Meyers. We need a legit burner. Someone who can separate downfield and pose a legitimate threat outside the numbers. Not Adam Humphries.

Now, Casey on the other hand? Sign me up.

We got meyers doing that already.
I understand that and I would hope we’re looking for speed on the outside. Just showing how his numbers were affected due to overall usage plus injuries the back half of last year.

We might need another quick target if our TEs still suck and JE11's knee makes it close to impossible for him to play in 2021.

so just never improve the team ever again because brady isnt here?

Look at his age, his production, his injury history and tell me what he does for this team?

This isn't about brady. This is about not needing bradys prototype binky without having brady.

??????

If you said Edelman ok, but how is Meyers role even close to what Humphries would bring to the table ?

Stop using those meaningless WR# labels as if they have any relevance outside contracts.

Would there be "better" options coming free over the next few weeks before possibly committing to Humphrey....I dont know ?

Quality over quantity is usually the best choice. Not with receivers in New England, BB needs to bring in 6 by the start of camp.

Two will be clueless within the system (but won't give up making the cut a hard one), one will flat-out walk due to the complexities, and of the remaining three we'll be lucky if two can consistently produce.

So we'd be looking at JE (who I love, but he is losing more than a step), Gunner (can he be the next slot guy?), Meyers, Byrd, Harry, New guy 1, New Guy 2. If NG1 or 2 can't be a true #1, or an honest #2 that forces the defense to respect the deep ball, how much better are we?

Of course, if they manage to fill both roles then we'll have some stability and guys like Meyers/Byrd/Gunner can continue to grow into the system.

And you think the front office would ignore all that and not make it part of the deal ?

via Injury splits, incentives et al ?

I think they, like us should focus on the qb situation.

This guy turned us down when we were winning Superbowls. He's not what we need.

Do you think FA is some linear adventure where you only work on one thing at a time ?

I think that humps is not good and not worth signing.

Like I said in the the other thread now that old man Tom is gone, maybe he might come here now.

I forget what happened? I recall us getting into a bidding war...and even we had the highest bid, but he had already verbally committed to the Titans and decided to honor that. Did he say something like, "I don't want to play with old man Brady cuz' he be retiring soon"?

Same production. Meyers will get you the same production that humphries can get you not to mentioned he’s younger. You making it out like humphries is a number 2 wideout. He’s not!

Yup, that’s pretty much exactly it.

If he didn't want to sign before, why would he now?
