NEW ARTICLE: Loss to Brady Leaves Mahomes Stunned, "It Hurts a Lot"

Mahomes said, "preparing ourselves to hopefully be in this game again." That is a little bit different than talking about a new dynasty ;)

Hope I don't get killed for saying this, but Mahomes did a lot better than the stats look. He basically was on the run all night, hit 2 receivers in the end zone IN THE HEAD, and made two of the most amazing throws I've ever seen, under extreme pressure.

His supporting cast stunk. Made him look bad. But almost all QBs in that situation would have looked a LOT worse.

I read somewhere that Kermit the Frog has something like 10 dropped interceptions this season...things evened out the other way w some big drops by his receivers

I watched one of the videos here and it was said that Mahomes was pressured on 32% of the plays.
I'm going to have to go back and check but I thought the two passes that went off of facemasks were deflected.
The Chiefs lost for a few reasons. They were pass happy, had too many turnovers and too many penalties.

Ah, hmmm, I would be in a world of hurt also if I was just run over by Ndamukong Suh.
There was one play where they triple teamed him and it looked like they were going to snap him in half. He's much tougher than he looks but there's no way he lasts long enough to threaten Brady's numbers.

He played his worst game. He missed early to guys who were open and ran backwards far too often killing the play from having a chance of succeeding. He has to learn to become a pocket Qb and step up and get rid of the ball. All of the ferious hits he took were his fault from trying to extend every play despite his Oline getting trucked. He never adjusted just kept relying on his athleticism and it ultimately did in him and his team. He has the distinct honor of laying an egg in a SB that had the most hype in the last 20 years. I am not surprised he is hurting from that performance.

The Chiefs tune has changed for now, but they will get mouthy again.

They cry about the Refs but dont talk about the helmet to helmet non call by Sorenson that caused the fumble and hitting Mayfield in the facemask with no call.
I woke up a little early this morning and decided to put on the radio. All I heard was the host whining over every single call that went against KC. I thought she was going to start crying.
It's hard to whine about calls on the defense when the offense never puts the ball in the end zone

Mahomes lost 2 playoff games, both were to Tom Brady. Chiefs nation must be livid.
He has never out dueled a HOF QB or HC.

I suppose now Arians if HOF material. 0 - 2 vs Brady, Belichick and Arians.

The Chiefs OL was holding all game. Some plays, they had the Bucs pass rushers around the neck like a cowboy taking down a steer at the rodeo.

The Referees had to let it go, otherwise Mahomes would have been busted up and the game would have lasted 2 more hours.

The writing was on the wall when they picked this officiating crew for Super Bowl 55 when they threw the most PI flags all season. The way it works is both teams meet with officiating prior to the game and the Referees outline how the game will be officiated - "Were going to be looking for ......" As the game begins, you will see officials approach the sideline telling the HC to knock it off before flags start flying.

I cannot believe all the intentional groundings that Mahones threw that did not get called....or did the intentional grounding rule get changed?

The Chiefs were seriously impacted by their PI penalties, some deserved, some not.

I disagree. If anyone laid eggs it was KCs coaching staff.

Mahomes did everything he could possibly do, including pulling magic tricks out of his ass, to win that game.

Tampa's Defense had a Field day with that swiss cheese Oline.
