Jack Easterby Blames Kraft Family for Texans Turmoil [Update: Texans Have Fired Him]

i believe Easterby....Krafty had a skank while Myra's body was still warm...just bc Krafty donates $ to "social justice" doesn't mean he's an upstanding guy.
Many fans think he’s a horrendous hypocrite. I know all kinds of millionaires who give $, but they aren’t good people because of it. Some of them : it’s their only redeeming quality.

Why does anyone care about this guy? I do not get it. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't - it is all Internet rumor stuff - could be true, could be greatly exaggerated. Why do people even write and read these articles? I see Thornton writes about Easterby on Barstool - isn't there something else more interesting to write about? Seems like the most trivial boring story in America to me. Is it a Christian hate thing disguised as exposing a hypocrite? Maybe he is awkward and has no real idea how to manage or organize which says more about O'Brien than Easterby.

Not being cute : do you believe a guy like Easterby was refraining from pushing religion ? I have my doubts, but maybe I’m mistaken.

Part of his job with the Patriots included Bible study sessions. It's a shame that this article doesn't have any quotes from the Jewish members of the team (Edelman and, at the time, Ebner).

I mean, obviously he was pushing religion in the chaplain portion of his job. The question is whether it bled into the football stuff (if he even had those duties in New England). I'm not going to take a position on that without info, but my gut says it probably did and still does with Houston.

How does a supposed “cancer” like easterby survive so long in bb land?

I have absolutely no interest in defending the honor of a guy who became a billionaire off real estate, but I think most of us just see this as Easterby indiscriminately lashing out at anyone but himself for the criticism he receives.
What's wrong with profiting from real estate?

I’ve cheated on my wife before when In the past I said I Would never do it.
I’ve learned I can’t judge people.
Vowels are important but only stretch so far as does anything in life.
Honestly the affair brought me and my wife’s problems to the fore front and now are better for it.
Crazy how life is bottom line Krafts character because he has a or had a affair doesn’t make him less of a man in my eyes.
You can love someone and lust for someone else. When one of the most beautiful woman you ever seen starts sending you pictures of her touching herself I was married for 10 years before I was ever tempted by another woman.
We are all human though.
thats good you worked things out...but Krafty Bob is still a weasel

it's, like, capitalism, and that's, like wrong.... haven't you read Marx and Engels lately? get w the program... and private property it's evil and stuff.... the government should own everything

Bill seems to be loyal to his guys. How often have we seen him make a questionable hiring/promotion with a guy that he already worked with or who was already in the organizaion rather then looking outside the team? Or listen to his buddies when drafting rather than his own scouts?

The impression I get is that the overwhelming majority of pro athletes are Christian Like most Americans.

I’ve already pointed out my astonishment at how important religion is in the US. And, I suspect, particularly in areas where many of the top football players come from (Southern states). It’s mind blowing that there would be employees on a big business whose primary role is religion-based.
Are you not from the US? In places like Europe, for example, there is far less religiosity. But in America, the overwhelming majority of people are Christian. I live in a very small town of about 15,000 people. There has to be at least a dozen churches here. And even more in the surrounding towns, all with much smaller populations. It feels like there is one on every street.
If we could just convert them all into mental hospitals/psychiatric clinics we could kill two birds with one stone.

Or he's human and made a mistake. Why does it have to be a black and white situation? Humans are far more complex and nuanced than widower hooks up with a gold digger soon after losing his wife so he must be a scumbag. Not really how it works. I think spinelessly refusing to stand up to Goodell was worse. He let the entire organization down and millions of fans. His personal life is his own business.

I feel like that was the point. But I don't like to assume what someone's position is. That's why I asked.

The majority of the planet believes in a god in some shape or another.

Atheists, globally, are a fringe minority. Religion is not going away, like ever,

in places "like Europe" ... lol, you make it sound like a mid-sized city or town... Have you actually ever been to any European nation?

My village was very catholic when I was younger. But, nowadays, there is little attendance under 60 years of age. I’d say we are more and more similar to countries like the Netherlands and Northern Europe.

Why would you pick your team chaplain over your franchise QB? Easterby should be sent packing.
Easterby isn't the Texans Team Chaplain. He's their VP of Football Operations. The fact that the McNairs were stupid enough to put him in that position speaks loudly about their lack of proper decision making.

Jack Easterby as new OC?
