We will likely draft a QB or more likely in the 2nd. Will this QB be better than Tua in 2020? Will he even be better than Fitzy who he would need to be ahead of to be the #4 instead of the #5.

Will we bring in a veteran who is better than Tua or Fields? We might; but it would cost.

BUF
will have a better QB

MIA
will have Tua plus a veteran

NYJ
will lively have Fields or Wilson

Wait, what we're not getting Deshaun Watson for a 7th round pick? Jimmy G isn't shaking loose from San Fran? Heinickel is not going to become our Steve Young? WTF!

Is there a point to this? Can we start a new thread on what people think powerball numbers will be?

On my scorecard, the other 6 AFC East backups are better than NE's trio as well

Theoretically Miami has enough draft capital to trade for Watson!

Miami has two first rounders and two second rounders and Tua.

somehow nick should be able to put two and two together and bring in a record haul for a disgruntled qb with loads of value!!!!

allen...Watson....fields.....newton?

One is these qb’s really sucks toilet water badly!!!!

You mean 2021. And the answer is yes unless they somehow convince Watson to come here (he won't as he controls where he goes with his no trade clause).

I think Watson ends up in Miami. A lot of players are gravitating towards Flores and the location.

Nick should call Jacksonville, who has tons of cap space and draft capital and make deal with the for Watson!

There are those who think that we'll have a competitive team without drafting a 1st round QB or signing a top free agent. I just wanted to reiterate that even if we were to draft a QB in the top 15 AND bring in a midlevel free agent, we would still have the worst starting QB in the league.

It seem unlikely that we will be a very competitive team in 2021.

Watson has a no trade clause. Watson controls where he wants to go.

So no matter what they do they will have the worst starting QB in the nfl? That’s what the point was? Jesus take a break, find a hobby.
By the way since many teams will have new QBs next year, it’s amazing that you have already concluded we are certain to get the worst one. Great job by you.

Shouldn't we wait what the Pats or the Jets do at QB before we make this call? Even if the Jets get Fields or Wilson, the Jets may sit them a year and many QBs play well in their rookie season.

Overreaction season is starting early on the forum this year...

Dak Preskott, Huntery Henry and Chris Godwin are all free agents next year. Patriots have some cash to burn, you never know.

id rather scoop up trevor lawrence on a rookie deal than trade for Watson and his monster contract if i were Jacksonville

If we're starting Stidham then yes for sure. Not just the worst in the division maybe one of the worst starting QB's the league has seen this century. Thankfully the Patriots are smarter than that.

Let's see how the rest of the division shakes out.

I think BB will bring in a vet and a youngster. If we aren't talking "potential", but rather "better in 2021", NE might have the #2 QB in the division. If they bring in any QB equal or better than Alex Smith, only BUF would have a better QB next year. I do not believe Tua nor Fields will be - in 2021 - better than that.

Maybe so, maybe not.

The Jets' QB will be a rookie. We don't know if Tua is actually any good.

Why would Jax trade for Watson when they's about to draft Trevah?

Edit: didn't see JoM51's response before I posted my own; sorry didn't mean to pile-on.
