Doubt Eli is first ballot but he'll get in.

As for waiving the waiting period for Brady - that won't happen nor should it. Unless he has some terminal illness and will not live to see his induction, it shouldn't happen. Nobody else has gotten that privilege.

He has little competition in the class of 2025. If Brees had retired last year, then yeah, he'd be in trouble. Other than Keuchly, who else gets in ahead of him? I know Pats fans hate Eli, but the facts are he's a 2 time SB winner, 2 time SB MVP, 8th in the league in TDs, and top 10 in yards thrown. He ended up with two dogs of a coach after Coughlin left with McAdoo and Shurmur, which should be taken into account.

-- LB Lorenzo Alexander (2005-19). Two Pro Bowler. Second-team All-Pro.

-- TE Vernon Davis (2006-19). Two-time Pro Bowler. Second-team All-Pro. Super Bowl champion.

-- C Travis Frederick (2013-19). Five-time Pro Bowler. First-team All-Pro. Two-time second-team All-Pro.

-- LB Luke Kuechly (2012-19). Seven-time Pro Bowler. Five-time first-team All-Pro. Two-time second-team All-Pro. NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year (2012). NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2013).

-- QB Eli Manning (2004-19). Four-time Pro Bowler. Two-time Super Bowl champion. Two-time Super Bowl MVP.

-- S Eric Weddle (2007-19). Six-time Pro Bowler. Two-time first-team All-Pro. Three-time second-team All-Pro.

-- G Marshal Yanda (2007-19). Eight-time Pro Bowler. Two-time first-team All-Pro. Five-time second-team All-Pro. Super Bowl champion.

I know tell me about. Bill should be roasted for not helping Tommy get 9 rings instead of 6.
I know your default is "durrr 6 rings" but Bill could have kept us in the hunt for 7 if he drafted AJ Brown instead of Harry and Chubb instead of Sony. We should just say "no Bill hasn't drafted poorly the last 5 years" because the 15 before that he drafted well? He could have drafted well for a long time and now drafted poorly in the relatively recent past. It is okay to admit it. Bill is never going to read your post.

He also drafted a whole bunch of guys who helped Brady win 1-6. Be grateful and not a spoiled brat Pats fan.

Brady having his HoF impacted by more-probable-than-not-gate?

I said it would have been impossible to resign him in MARCH given our cap constraints at the time
If the plan after last season was to bring him back, they wouldn't have waited until MARCH. They would have done it right away, which would have provided more cap room in MARCH than they ended up having.

LOL, Brady wants to play until he's 48...

“I do think he’s got a lot of football left in him,” O’Connor said, per Boston.com. “In fact, I had a phone conversation with him of about an hour 2-3 years ago where we were talking about Tom Brady playing until age 46, 47, maybe even 48. So I don’t think he’s stopping at 45, as long as he’s — I really don’t. I never thought he was going to stop at 45. I think he has four or five left and I think he will play a fairly high level of football for Tampa Bay.”

Most important stat in my opinion for a QB. Belichick looks for guys who excel (not counting this yr due to no cap space) in this stat. Take care of the ball and be smart with the football. That's so impressive to put up a 9:1 and 14:1 ratio, shows total mastery of every defense he faces.

If he wants to and if a team is ok with that then go for it.

I can see him doing it for 1-2 more years. However, does he really think his pliability crap is going to keep him from getting injured at age 45-48?

What was funny was when Rodgers went 25-2, but somehow the packers ended up going 6-9-1. I mean if someone told you nothing about a team other than it had a HOF QB who had a 12.5-1 TD-int ratio how many wins would you think that team had gotten?

That’s one thing we will agree with. I do not see him going until 48. I still think he hangs ‘em up at 45.

if he’s still a top 10-15 QB in two years and he wants to play he’s playing. Hopefully it’s in Tampa with new coachs
