I think Silver and Brady were close in Tom’s early days but Silver went hard at Brady during deflategate. I think that was the end of them being close and Silver getting info from Tom.Silver is close to Brady. If this was a lie, Silver would never report it.
There was nothing in 2018 that suggested that either and he proceeded to light up the Chargers and the Chiefs en route to a Super Bowl victory.Brady could overcome anything Belichick did wrong, but not everything he did wrong.
There are four games left in the season. The Bucs' offense is still inconsistent and Brady is also. That has been the case the entire season through 12 games. What makes you think we are going to see Brady be elite for the rest of the season and into the playoffs? There is nothing you can see from his play over the last month that suggests that.
What???
for you information Brady has thrown 14 TDs in his last 6 games. That’s if I am counting right which you have a problem to do, 2,33 TD a game.
KC: 3 TD
LAR: 2 TD
CAR: 3 TD
NO: 0 TD
NYG: 2 TD
LV: 4 TD
And if he throws for or more than 37, it would be his most since 2011 and if he throws for or more than 39 it would be his most since 2007
Well, it doesn’t change much because he threw for 14 TD in his first 6 games alsoMy bad. I was looking at a game log that had the game order inverted and I was looking at the first six games. I take back what I said.

And no, he couldn’t overcome anything BB did wrong. If he could, he’d actually have six Super Bowl titles to his name including 42 where BB opted to go for it on 4th and long instead of kicking the FG that would have eventually ended up sending the game into OT.

5 of which came in one game against the Chargers.Well, it doesn’t change much because he threw for 14 TD in his first 6 games also
I think the second INT against the Chiefs came in the second half, a ball that bounced off the hands of Edelman if I remember correctly. But the first one in the first half was horrendous. Endzone INT from the 1-yard line, threw it directly into the hands of the LB.Ummm.... Brady was not elite in the playoffs that year. He had an elite game vs. the Chargers. But he was uneven against the Chiefs that game. He did throw two INTs in the first half of that game and only averaged 7.6 YPP. And a lot of the offense was attributed to the Pats rushing for 176 yards and 4 rushing TDs. And he struggled a bit against the Rams in the Super Bowl. You are talking two games.
*cough* Malcolm Butler *cough*Why would you expect that when, even in his prime, Brady couldn’t always overcome everything Belichick did wrong?
Well the throw in itself was not horrendous because he would have it the receiver perfectly. He just didn’t see the LB.I think the second INT against the Chiefs came in the second half, a ball that bounced off the hands of Edelman if I remember correctly. Mahomes has 30 TD 5 came against the Jets, they don’t count I guess5 of which came in one game against the Chargers.
You forgot both Evans' 2015, 2016, and 2018 seasons. He won't even come close to matching receiving yards from those years. At best, Evans will get 1000 yards this year.
As far as QBs with a higher rating than Brady, there's Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, Rodgers, Allen, Herbert, Bridgewater, Murray, Cousins, Carr, Tannehill, Roethlisberger, and Brees. I would rate all of them over Brady right now except Herbert, Bridgewater, Cousins, and Carr.
There should be a “more than” in there before that.He does have six rings...
Say what? He threw for 348 yards and completed 3rd and 8 in the 4th quarter then converted 3rd and 10 3 straight times in OT just for Rex to punch it in. They don’t even get down there if he doesn’t do that. In crunch time, OT, in the AFCCG, if a quarterback converts 3rd and long that many times leading to the go-ahead TD to send the team to the Super Bowl, that is absolutely elite play. I didn’t mention the Rams because the whole offense, outside of Edelman, didn’t play well. But the game was sealed on an absolutely beautiful and clutch rainbow to Gronk.Ummm.... So, basically, Brady is in your top 5. That would make him elite in the NFL by anyone’s definition.BTW, here are the QBs who are better than Brady this year and this year alone:
Mahommes
Rodgers
Wilson
Roethlisberger
I'd have to think more if there are anyone else.
He will eclipse 1,000 yards and will set his career highs for TDs in spite of being in a loaded passing attack. You’re now trying to weigh years in which Evans was pretty much the only threat Tampa had to catch the ball against a year in which he is playing with Godwin, Miller, OJ Howard (before injury), Gronk, Brate, Jones, Fournette, and now Brown. Previously people whined that Brady was “locking on to Edelman/Welker.” Now that he is spreading the ball around more, you people are whining about Evans’ receiving yards. Pick a topic to ***** about and stick with it. Without missing 4 games, Godwin would also be on pace to have a career year. Gronk is enjoying a renaissance and Jones IS having a career year. Your theory that he no longer makes the players around him better simply doesn’t hold water.
LOL. Mahomes, Wilson, and Rodgers - you’ll get no argument out of me. Brees is probably done for the year and can no longer push the ball down the field. Watson is currently a sub-.500 QB this season and has less passing yards and TDs in spite of playing a weaker defensive schedule since Pittsburgh. I’m laughing at the mention of Allen when, just a few posts ago, you mentioned volume stats against weaker teams as a reason to pan Brady when that’s basically how Allen has racked up his stats this year. I don’t even think I need to go into Murray. Tannehill is playing well, but has less passing yards and TDs. Further, that offense goes through Henry. As he goes, so do the Titans. You can’t say the same about the Bucs. Big Ben is at least arguable, but then you look at the passing defenses he’s played. He looked about the same as Cam against Baltimore - the best pass D he’s played of late.
Further, if you’re going off of rating the make your point, Manning had a better rating through most of his career than Brady. I don’t seem to recall you putting Manning above Brady at any point while he was here. In any event, you’ve now listed 9 QBs out of 32 starters that you would consider above Brady this year. Thus, you should agree that Brady is playing at a high level and I would still question why you “LOL’d” at that.
There should be a “more than” in there before that.
