OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Tampa is doing all right these days in sports. Lightning won the Stanley Cup. Rays won the American League pennant. Bucs signed Brady and are doing well. And now the Toronto Raptors will be calling Tampa home at least for the 2021 season because they aren't allowed to cross the border to play in Toronto. lol
Gets me wicked pissed. Canadians are not allowed to drive across the border unless essential. So, what do they do? They FLY from Toronto, etc. to FL where they continue to infest our neighborhoods, even this winter. Just like their fellow infestors, Canader Geese. This must stop!!!

On the deep balls, Tompa's priority is/has always been "avoid interceptions" at the expense of completions.
True.
HOWEVER Tommy Boy has been missing WIDE OPEN receivers deep. The "avoiding picks" explanation does not hold true in such instances.

IMHO he was never that accurate on the long passes. It stands to reason that at 43 he still wouldn't be. I still wish he was here though.

All those glorious Tampa weapons and...........

".....he’s averaging just 10.8 yards per completion, his lowest average since 2002."

According to Michael Silver of NFL Network, Judge and a number of other ex-New England staffers are of the belief Brady, though admittedly “intelligent,” was a product of the Patriots’ “system,” a scheme that offset many of his shortcomings including “throwing deep, throwing outside the numbers and moving in the pocket.” In fact, Judge, who Silver notes has “exuded an alarming aura of haughtiness” in his new venture with the Giants, has gone as far as “openly denigrating” Brady’s abilities.

There's a reason Early Bird specials begin at 5PM

Oldies have difficulty driving at night
The Florida heat drains them of energy so they can't stay awake past Murder She Wrote
And the Oldies want to make sure the green Jell-o with Cool Whip doesn't get sold out

The Tompa Brady Gronkowskateers

...still nothing?

I think it's a step up

Florida is full of idiots anyways. They did it to themselves but want to blame everyone else.

That's three reasons.

(Oldies also tend to be annoying nitpickers)

On a related note, why is the plural of moose not "meese"?

His lowest "since 2002" is 6.6 with the Pats last season.

I suggest you pay closer attention to one particular word in the quote

Tampa Bay RB's have not been overly effective with yards per catch with Jones only at 4.8 yards and all others under 7. (compared to James White who is 8.7 career) Not sure all the reasons behind it but that is what is driving Brady's number down.

not yards per attempt, but yards per completion
