Allen is going to be this generation's Vick. Not cause his play is particularly similar. More to due with his inconsistency week to week. One week a dud, the next week when it all clicks and he's one of the most dangerous players in the NFL. Vick use to give teams nightmares cause you never knew which one would show up week to week.

While Lamar has been compared to Vick he's far too consistent week to week.

Yep. He's gone from a good 5 paces ahead of the pack to maybe 2 or 1.5. Just enough that if someone gets hot they can over take him even if he plays well the rest of the way. Of course if he puts up another 20 TDs over the last 8 weeks without a ton of Ints and wins most of his games that will probably still do it.

I remember the days of yore when we'd watch the Sunday games when the Pats played Monday night and we'd keep an eye on Baltimore, denver, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, etc and root for losses to help the pats playoffs position. Such an odd feeling w the pats sitting at 2-5 on the verge of being a moribund franchise for several years. Today's games just don't matter for Pats fans. The only people watching w any vim and viggor are the fantasy nerds and gamblers...
