None of our QBs in our roster will be starting next year.
Justin Fields will be our next starting QB next year.
That is fine. I'm also fine with getting the best OL or DL possible. I don't want BB obsessing over QBs... that is what most teams do & it costs them. For every Mahomes, there is a Bortles+Trusbisky+Winston...

Oh well ...

If you can't rush the passer or stop the run, you're not going to win many games. And you're not helping yourself with either of those if you standardly have 6 DBs on the field. It's surprising that the Pats came that close (and a tribute to Josh McD).

But, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam, Cam!

Lowest career passer rating against since 2006:

JC Jackson 49.7
Richard Sherman 53.8
Asante Samuel 59.5
Charles Woodson 63.8
Darrelle Revis 65.0

12 career INTs in 2.5 seasons as a part-time player.

Pay the man.

I'm afraid that things are going to get much worse before they get better. There
are gaping holes at QB, WR, TE, and LB, and about 20 players become free agents
in March 2021. These players include Burkhead, White, Newton, Andrews, Eluemuner,
Thuney, Byrd, Slater, Bethel, Brooks, Jackson (RFA), J, McCourty, Calhoun, Rivers, Simon,
Butler, and Guy. These losses will be mitigated by the return of Cannon(?), Chung,
Hightower, and LaCosse, but Belichick will need one hell of a draft, trades, and free agency
to make much of a dent. Plus, where is our all world quarterback to lead us?

I really think Harris might be special and a guy to watch. He’s showing he may already be a leader on this team and that caught my attention.

Hope they can feature him the rest of the way and then next season look out.

Do you really think the defenses would play us that way at all if there wasn't the threat of Cam running? Cam was our second best rusher on the day getting 54 yards and a rushing TD. Not to mention the runs on the last drive Cam ripped off that Stidham wouldn't. But keep going on with your simple assessments.
I think defenses would play a lot different if they had any concern that the qb had any shot of beating them with his arm.
Are you arguing that a running QB softens a defense for a rb more than a passer?
I mean anyone with any knowledge of football has seen that newton is pathetic. What are you losing by benching him? Whenever he does anything good he hands it right back.
When you have a penalty on first down and feel that ended the drive or when your QB drops back on 3rd down and you pray that he scrambles, and when the coaching staff knows that a 3rd and 10 must convert should be a draw play, you aren’t winning with that QB.

I was hopeful that Newton’s running game could make us into a Baltimore type offense but every pass play with this joker is an adventure and he really has no idea what he is doing in the pocket.

This is what frustrates me. I expected a complete change in offense to one like Baltimore’s which plays right into the strength of this team, the run game.

Instead it seems we’re still running Brady’s offense for reasons I couldn’t begin to fathom. Brady was obviously great at that. Cam not so much.

Running game is our strenght

I'm glad we lost this game, we need to completely retool the offense, including a new franchise QB. The higher we can draft in the 1st round the better.

Curious to know if any teams had success (winning record) with a top 3 rushing attack, but contributing almost nothing in the passing touchdown department. I'd venture a guess that 3 passing TDs to 11 picks would probably put you in the winless column. I guess the run game has saved us from being winless?
