I think Josh McDaniels needs to go too for 15 years of never knowing how to develop TEs or WRs, but at bare minimum Jedd Fisch has got to be on the hot seat right now as the Patriots QB Coach. Absolutely abysmal QB coaching and on-field performance, including 5 interceptions by QBs in the last couple games. In looking at his track record, he hasn't been part of any good offenses or been the main guy behind a good quarterback's success. Does he even know how to coach QB play ?

Oh no, apparently this guy's claim to fame Jedd Fisch has been "developing" total bust Josh Rosen and Blake Bortles. I'd rather have zero QB coaches and have Ivan Fears the RB coach, coach Cam Newton at this point.

I mean, what are we talking about ? The tenth in command ? The coach isn’t the problem, but the lack of talent is.

Fisch has worked for Mike Shanahan, Jim Harbaugh and Sean McVay. If nothing else he can bring a different perspective to a staff that often promotes from within.

Making Jedd Fisch a scapegoat is a strange cause. The team struggled moving the ball in the second half of last season due to lack of talented playmakers. That problem persists. There are no quarterback coaches who are the "main guy behind a quarterback's success." The main guy behind a player's success is the player. Fisch might well not be a good coach, but he is not to blame for the offense's struggles.

Thank you, lack of talent not the coaches. This is not the Pats year. Too many outside issues.

How about QB performance since he's, I don't know, the QB Coach ???

Comments such as this one is what prompted me to make the unrealistic expectations thread.

This isn't fantasy football where you draft an entirely new team every year and win your league against your co-workers.

Bringing a QB in to being on the same page with new teammates, learning a new playbook and learning a new system on the fly is going to be difficult in any year. Now factor in zero OTAs, zero scrimmages, zero preseason games, an extremely late signing and arrival - while also recovering from a Lisfranc fracture while attempting to complete those hurdles. If that's not enough, there is also the matter of the (lack of) talent at both TE and WR.

But hey, let's just go scorched earth and get rid of everybody with no plan of upgrade, including people we have never heard of, because a fan is angry that he is not properly entertained with a victory every Sunday by the team he follows.

LOL. We are all aware of the stats.

What a compelling argument that my statement was incorrect.

Jedd Fisch is the QB coach and these are the facts of the results of the QB play. Yes. It's not all on Cam. All 3 QBs.

Yup. The QB coach can’t polish a turd.

At least Fisch had a track record of coaching the position before he arrived here...

Our WR & TE "coaches" on the other hand...This is where one of the problems lies...

Was it it Coach Fishy who recently said something to the affect... "I wasn't aware Cam only threw to the left" ?

It may not be all his fault, but Fisch won't have a large '2020' section on his resume.
2020 Resume:
Coached up Hoyer in the red zone
Cut Stidham's INT rate to one/quarter
Encouraged Newton to throw to his right

But remember, he went to John Carroll college the OC's alma mater. That's all that matters
