I would just say that they are great together...they both needed each other and made each other great...The first super bowl we won against the Rams because of the great defense and time management to keep the greatest show on turf off the field. They are both the GOAT's , but I'd be shocked if either won a Super Bowl without the other.
Ashley, I don't know if Tom is going to win this year because I still think don't know how the Bucs will do against teams like Pitt, Baltimore, KC, and Seattle. I do feel, however, that Brady is going to stick around in TB until he wins a ring. I've heard that he's thinking about staying until 46 or 47.

The Past obviously need to figure out the QB situation but if they can solve that problem (not easy to do) they have plenty of cap flexibility to fix some of their other holes.

Harris 10 carries 58 yards. Not bad. Oh look straw! Lol

Belichick has been a head coach without Brady for 7 seasons, this is his 8th. He missed the playoffs for all but one year, and has a record of 56 wins and 65 losses, on his way to missing the playoffs for the 7th time in 8 years without Brady. 5 losing seasons, very likely 6 after this year.

Belichick has been a head coach with Brady as a starter for 18 years. Made the playoffs 17 times, 9-7 record the one year they didn't, 9 SB appearances, 6 wins, a record of 218 wins and 62 losses.

The proof is absolutely in the pudding. He's a really good coach. Brady is the GOAT. Give Brady anything but trash and you have an instant contender. The Pats were in it every single year since day 1 after he became the starter.

The only PROOF you've offered is that you are simplistic and can't be bothered to look at the entirety of situations. You think that your have objectively compared Belichick's "Non-Brady" seasons to those of his Brady seasons. Youj'd have everyone ignore the fact that 5 of the season's you're talking about Brady was a f'in teenager and Belichick was rebuilding a different franchise. A franchise that he actually turned around before the ***HOLE owner screwed him and the team by announcing mid-season of their move to Baltimore from Cleveland.

You're "PROOF" is nothing but simplistic garbage that is rooted in your bias against Belichick.

Brady went to a Buccaneers team that was 7-9 BECAUSE of their QB. Had they had a different QB, they'd likely had gone deep into the play-offs. But instead of acknowledging that, you'll bend over backwards giving Brady all the credit..

This fanbase doesn't deserve this team TBH. They bag on everyone just a little adversity hits.
Little adversity?

The Pats lost a total of 4 games all last season.

The defense also hideously bad. Don’t embarrass yourself by making excuses for them.
This was a bad matchup for our D . But if our offense had put together some ppints , it might have gotten the 49ers of their gameplan and make jimmy throw. They never needed it. just handed it off to whoever they wanted. It is easy to do that when you have lead and the other QB cant make a throw or a 1st down.
What we didnt do on offense i felt , was to rush more . they tried throwing way to early. they shouldve rushed on all 3 downs . Even the first FG , they shouldve rushed twice. The oline and the RBs are our only hope and they need to ride them. Yes the QB cant be hidden but really dont need him to do too many things right now when he cant complete a pass..

Those of us who laid the blame on Belichick for last season have been proven correct, unsurprisingly. Brady was never in any decline, that was a lie to cover for the horrible personnel Bill thrust upon him. It's pretty embarrassing to see how wretched our QBs are while simultaneously watching Brady working on building a case for MVP at age 43.

Not only that Belichick's defense looked AWFUL.

BS. You're lying to yourself and everyone else. Claiming it was the personnel around Brady is f'in laughable unless you're talking about the massive injuries on the O-line. But then, you seem to be cherry-picking facts to suit yourself, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Brady and the offense looked pretty awful at the end of last season. They certainly were.

But at no time did I cringe watching the passing game like I did today. Nor did I feel like I wasn’t watching an NFL offense - also like I did today. Yikes.

Figure it out Bill and Josh. Do what you gotta do.

Uh oh, BB vs Brady talk is heating up again.

What they did in 20 yrs is an anamoly. Eveyr franchise has gone through it. We were immune to it so far. It has come and happens. We were 2 and 4 in 2002 too with a 3 or 4 game losing streak. I remember brady pointing fingers asking people to look in the mirror and others and vrabel taking issue with brady's comments.etc. We have been there. have to ride it out. just like the good times.

Either that teams have caught up to him in our offense watching film...

I don't think Cam fits in this offense. Our offense is, I hate to say, more suited for Stidham than Cam. It's based on quick short throws to underneath guys and moving the chains. Cam is a downfield thrower and we don't have the personnel for that.

Cam wasn't getting it done even with people being open. Byrd was WIDE open and Cam over-threw him.

Green Bay was certainly considered to be in that tier of teams going into the TB game, no?

Cam has been figured out.

5 years ago I mean.

There is a reason why Carolina did nothing after the miracle 2015 season, and there is a reason why Cam was available all offseason long because no other team wanted anything to do with him.

I’ve never seen a Pats team with less heart, and I’m old enough to have been drunk during each of the 1-15 season games almost 30 years ago (
yikes).

today: “Hey, let’s not tackle that dude, he looks big. Or fast. Or here.”

That’s OK though because.... it’s not.

They seemed to quit today. That surprised me knowing who is coaching here. Not good.
I don't think they so much quit. I know that Andrews looked embarrassed.

It's hard to be "energetic" when your "LEADER" in Newton screws you so badly in the 1st half. It's pretty bad when Newton makes you want for Marc Sanchez as the QB..

I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall in the next meeting between BB and Kraft.

Doesn't really seem like there is a plan at all.

not happy with the state of things, but I find it highly improbable, if not downright impossible that men like Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick don't have a plan

Says the Bills troll.

I know that looking things up is new for you. But Newton was INJURED last season. Newton was still recovering and other teams moved on early. The Pats only brought Newton in as a Stop gap. Not as a "savior".
