But CDC recommendations are that if you are exposed to a known contact with COVID, you are supposed to self isolate for 14 days.
Maybe the NFL is different.
But, perception is everything. If there is a big out break on Chiefs with more players coming down with COVID, it will look bad that the NFL did not take steps to minimize the spread.

I agree, its unlikely that Mahomes would get sick, but the idea is to contain the spread and the pandemic. Therefore if Gooddelll does nothing with Mahomes (as I suspect) because he is the face of the league; and then over the next 7 days multiple additional chiefs players, coaches and staff test positive then the blame can be appropriately placed on Gooddell.

Although the risk is low, some young athletes have developed evidence of myocarditis on MRI (see EROD of the Red Sox). If I were the Chiefs management who just doled out 450 million with much of it guaranteed, I would be concerned.

I said this in another thread as a knee jerk reaction to hearing that Gilmore had Covid. I take it back as I don't wish anyone else to get sick. Patrick Mahomes' girlfriend is pregnant. They must be ________ bricks right now.

it will be interesting to watch what comes out of the Chief's camp this week. Gilmore came in contact with a few Chiefs, including Mahomes after the game. I always thought that the game should not have been played, for safety and health reasons. Players flying into a city hours before game time, just do the NFL can have a Monday night double header?!? Although I don't want to see any body else get it, in a way I do, just to hoist the arrogant NFL on it's own petard.

It's the NFLs fault. They should've postponed the game. And given the team a week to make sure there were no more positives. They saw what happened with the titans so they know what happens if you throw exposed guys on a plane.

Instead they did it anyway. And now here we are. This could've been avoided.

Be interesting if mahomes is positive if the NFL make the chiefs play with their backup with no reps 2 days later
