OT: Talib Hangs 'em Up

I'm fortunate enough to have not been able to watch that game, so I just remember his greatness haha. The pass breakup in the Jags playoff game is my go-to play haha. But you're right, especially to some downer fans, they really put a lot of stock in that Miami performance haha. Same with Welker in the SB - best slot receiver of all time, yet summed up for some by one play.

Gilmore doesn't break up that pass, Pats lose that game and Brady leaves this team with 5 rings not 6. Also most likely KC is looking for a threepeat.

I’m wondering why he would have called Talib since he’s spent considerable resources in the last two years (Williams and Dugger) who seem to be aimed at that particular role.
Crumpler role I guess.

Wrong season.... Jax AFC championship game led to the Eagles SB loss.

Pretty obvious BB asked him to play safety.

He was good here. I remember the game when he completely owned Julio Jones - not easy to do. Just injured at the worst possible times.

With that said Edelman took him to school in SBLIII

Talib played 18 games in NE and just 1 full season here before hitting the highway.

He was an upgrade over Mcourty who sucked as a CB.

also the game where he shut down Jimmy Graham vs NO.

I remember he and Steve Smith going at it. I hate to admit it, but Smith won that battle. Ice up son!

If he couldn't handle a little Wes Welker hit 7 years ago I can see why he wouldn't want to face a George Kittle hit now

belichick called that dirty hit by welker one of the worst he’s seen

I don't think Belichick cared much for Welker and exaggerated the dirtiness of that play.
Yup, BB is not above being a little petty after a big loss. We've seen it numerous times. But you almost have to admire that level of competitiveness.
