i say play it out. if you are going to suck, then do what the Sox are doing and lose all of your games. Play the whole season so it counts and the luxury tax resets, get to the top of the draft, spend like crazy in 2021. Ideally this is what would happen but it think the ownership group has accomplished what they set out to do when they bought the team...win multiple World Series, then go cheap and make as much money as possible. I don't think they hire Chaim Bloom as GM to become the Yankees or Dodgers. They hired him to replicate the Tampa Bay Rays.

I thought the trade deadline was coming up but cant recall the date. JD could be gone or he will at least opt out after this year. I hope they keep JBJ...the defense in CF more than makes up for the lack of hitting.

Looks like the trade deadline will be two weeks from today on the 31st.

Yankees gave up a 10 burger in one inning to the Buffalo Blue Jays lol.

Since the Sox aren't winning anything - it would be kinda cool to see the World Series hoisted in Buffalo. Their fans have been hungry for a World Series championship for years That would be kinda hilarious if that happens before the Bills win.

I heard the report on WEEI on a news update a week so ago. Said the commissioner was leaning towards not changing the draft order. As he shouldn't. If you extrapolate the recored over 162 you get the same w/l record. Teams are what they are.

Chaim Bloom will make a good team ... at some point.
