Strange to imagine this team had four TEs they wanted to keep... (EDIT : one is a FB)

With 17 first and 2nd year players on the roster I wonder where Pats are now ranked on the NFL team average age list.

Not having Brady or Ghost will help the team average in terms of getting younger.

I think Harris will hit IR as well, and they will pick someone unknown up.

Agree on Harris and Allen to Temp IR. Plus Cunningham released in a week or so and to the practice squad. That is 3 spots. One for a kicker and two spots undefined.

Deatrich Wise (now at 280+ lbs) had a great camp after an inconsistent career.

Derek Rivers in his fourth season may be healthy finally be able to contribute.

The last stand for the abysmal 2017 draft class, Hopefully one of them can surprise.

It's not exactly abysmal when you consider that they only drafted four rookies, and the highest of those was a third-rounder. (They also got Adam Butler as an UDFA.)

My prediction: Allen and Harris and one OL go on IR. Then, one of J.J. Taylor or Lamar Miller return, with the other on the PS. Then we will learn the Pats put in a waiver claim on Chase McLaughlin - if they were successful he will be the kicker, if not Folk will be re-signed. Finally, they will bring in one other player from another team's cut list.

Today's cuts didn't make for a lot of talking points:

I'm not sure it's a good thing. If we had a strong roster some surprising talent would be getting cut. Instead a high percentage of 2020 and 2019 picks made the team.

People should keep in mind that the Patriots tried to claim Chase McLaughlin off waivers last year but the Colts had the higher waiver priority so they got him. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots try and claim him again.

Had 50+ yard leg strength and overall kicked very well for the Colts and SF last year. From the articles I've read the kicking competition in Colts camp was very close.

I hope we are targeting Chase wish we would of coughed up a pick like a conditional 7th to keep him off waivers

no surprises except the kicker situation, which should be worked out when someone goes on IR.

I think Cunningham + Herron is a bit of a surprise. I did not see anyone predict that.

Honestly. I'm just delighted theres going to be a season. looking forward to football. Initial 53 looks shall we say unbalanced but what the hell.
6 PM GMT next Sunday there will be football.

GMT!?

We don't care what time it will be on the Moon when the Pats play, sheesh.

That WR corp is so inexperienced outside of Edelman. Edelman has to stay healthy and Harry has to produce. Cam is going to be doing a lot of hand offs this year

Hard to judge talent without games . . . At any level. Trust me.

IDK. Everyone has a year in the system except Byrd, who picked it up in year 2 with the Cardinals.

Who is the woman interviewing Lazar? She seems nice. Asking for a friend.
