1958 Unitas was pretty good too...Who do you want in the fourth quarter of the SB ? I want 2014 Brady. I want 1989 Montana. I want 2016 Brady.
No issue with the top 5...The bottom 5 (with the exception of Staubach) however...1. Brady
2. Graham
3. Montana
4. Starr
5. Unitas
6. Manning
7. Staubach
8. Elway
9. Young
10. Rodgers
GOAT QB discussions must include Johnny U.

Oh yeah! The original OT championship game. Late q4 drive to tie and then the OT drive to win. Neither drive involved a TD pass, but several passes to keep the drives alive. Kind of like Brady in the 28-3 game. And a key difference, that game wasn’t played on a neutral field, it was in Yankee stadium, home field for the NY Giants.1958 Unitas was pretty good too...
Fun fact - Brees' streak would have ended in the mid 30's against the Rams in 2011. The Saints were losing to 31-14 with 6 seconds left (to a team that finished 2-14) and Brees throws a touchdown on the last play of the game. There is literally no reason to have your starting QB in with 6 seconds left down 17 other than blatant stat padding, but that's nothing new considering who we're talking about.Unitas perfected the 2 minute drive. Up until a few years ago he had the stat for most consecutive games with a TD pass, broken by Brees. That was in a time when teams ran first, and when defenses were much tougher on receivers and QBs.

What criteria did you use to make that list?

Mahomes and Wilson could make gains very soon.
Young in his prime was incredible.Putting Bradshaw on there wouldn’t be crazy. Numbers 8-10 aren’t cast in stone, whereas 1-7 are pretty hard to argue against (in some order). You could argue that Bradshaw, Marino, and maybe Brees could go 8-10.
I was surprised that Favre made the NFL 100 team, especially over Young. I wouldn’t put him in that group of players who are arguably top 10, unless you’re only ranking by peak, though I think Young’s peak was at least as good. But I think with Favre, I’d you’re giving him credit for longevity and counting stats, you also need to consider how horrible he was the second half of his career when it came to throwing away seasons.

I'm always amused when Brady fans are outraged if someone dares to suggest another QB should be in the same discussion. This is some dumb logic. Nothing like data mining to ensure your QB is #1. Of course it is pretty funny that the GOAT QB is right behind Unitas even with this mickey mouse criteria.
As before, a touchdown qualifies as a game-winning touchdown if all of the following four criteria are met:
- It occurs in the 4th quarter or in overtime;
- The scoring team was not winning prior to the touchdown
- The scoring team was winning after the touchdown, including the extra point1; and
- If the touchdown (plus point after) gave the winning team more points than the losing team scored all game. So if a team is down 21-17 and scores a touchdown to go ahead 24-21, and that team ultimately wins 31-27, that does not count as a game-winning touchdown. But if they win 31-21, it does.
Best response post. It's a little scary to be exposed to an intelligent post.I believe Brady is GOAT but there will never be consensus on this and debates will always happen. Different eras of the game.
