Patriots QB Newton’s message to everyone

Been impressed with Cam's work ethic, at least what I've seen on IG. Stidham, on the other hand, has been eating nothing but crap this off-season. He needs to sit down with the Pats nutritionist.

only if his wife can make a nice instagram story about it, seems more into instagram than into football, but what do I know

Well true, but if we’re going that way, personally I would have liked to seen TB dive for that trick pass in SB52.

I would have liked to see Josh dive for the trash can with that page ripped out of the playbook.

Speaking of Josh. The guy has sucked outside of having the GOAT QB. This will be a make it or break it year for him if he is every to get a HC op again. Let's hope he does leave the disaster plays in the trash can but some how I doubt he will.

Wouldn’t say he sucked everywhere. He did ok in Denver- drafted Thomas and Decker among other moves. Made some of the mistakes that Bill made in Cleveland not playing the political game all that well and the Cutler trade didn’t work out. I think getting caught cheating with taping the walk through was the last straw for him as a Bronco. He’ll get another shot.

I was more talking about him as an OC. He was awful in St. Louis and Kyle Orton was some kind of awful. He has lots to prove with a QB not named Brady.

Don't disagree. The region has a lower tolerance for missteps off the field and on the field for this starting black QB. It's my biggest concern. I look at what happened to Renteria, Manny, David Price, Dice-K, Ray Allen.

This region has no more or less racist arseholes than any other region. What a crock this Boston is racist stuff is.

Ray Allen was blasted by his own black ex-teammates more than the fans ever did. Was he shard on for going to the Heat? So what. I'll raise you with Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon, Adam Vinateiri, and many others.

Renteria and DiceK vastly underachieved their bloated contracts, so they got shat upon. I'll raise you Kevin Stevens (Bruins fans will remember), JD Drew, and Jack Clark.

David Price is a friggin sensitive crybaby. Anyone remember Mike Greenwell or Tony Eason being treated with kid gloves?

Manny is a piece of garbage human being, so I don't really care about his supposed mistreatment. I'm sure he and his bank account are scarred for life though.

Anyway, isn't it NOT racist to treat non-white athletes as crappy as white athletes? Yes, the fans and media can be complete douche bags to all of the athletes. Asking them to go easy on the poor defenseless non-white ones is kinda, I dunno, racist!

Or it's guilty white pandering as the non-whites in my family call it.

You’re right; only people of color face heavy criticism from the Boston media and fandom. White players never fave heavy scrutiny, I guess, unless your name is JD Drew, John Lackey, Johnny Damon, Bill Buckner, Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens, Adam Vinatieri, Phil Kessel, Dan Duquette, Jonathan Papelbon, Clay Buchholz...

I do not understand all of the snarky attitudes toward Tom Brady.

In 1985, I was amazed the Patriots made the SB. It was surreal. For the last 20 years, we EXPECTED to go to the SB because of him.

There are two people who could squat on the Patriots logo, take a giant steaming Goodell, and rub my face in it, and I will never have a bad thing to say about them. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Actually, add Malcolm f'n Butler to that list too.

I really don't get the hate for Cam or why anyone thinks this is anything but a good move.

The person I was responding to was talking about keeping him beyond this year. which even if that wasn't putting the cart about 20 miles past the horse, there's other issues with.
You are changing what I said. I said "if"he returns to form and plays well. I have no interest in cam if he doesn't return to playing well. Also, in another thread mentioned if we have the cap since I don't know much about that.

Not even close. An equivalent, terribly obnoxious hairstyle would be something like this and Brady has never come close to it.

Grandpa Simpson over here, only likes a Johnny Unitas haircut.

Or just jumped a little...but that incompletion was on Amendola, there was no reason to rush the throw like he did.

To his credit, he did a pretty good job with Cassel in '08...got him the Donkeys job...but this is a different level of challenge here...

This screams Dwight Howard before signing with the Lakers. The league slept on him, even though he’s working out, putting workouts on YouTube for every idiot GM to see...yet crickets. Howard had an amazing season for my Lakers and I see the same for Cam. Critics seriously thought the Lakers should’ve signed Jakim Noah over him.

There’s absolutely no excuse for other teams not competing for him. Pats get him for a $1M which could go to a measly $7.5M and this board is complaining?

This is a no brainer you do that deal. Other bad organizations will regret it.

Will feel so good if we make the playoffs.

So many have written NE AND Cam off prior to the signing. Cam needs to make the league regret it.
