Patriots QB Newton’s message to everyone

I figured Brady would lose a few supporters on here but the way a large portion of people have turned on him is insane to me. I honestly wonder if our fanbase is dumber than others.
One very true criticism of our fanbase is that there is a large segment of Pats fans that like to think everything is against the team and find attacks and conspiracy everywhere. Brady leaving was perfect fodder for a narrative that “well he really gave up on us and was a big problem”. Hell I’ve even seen people on here make the system QB argument and compare him to Manning.

Idk why it’s so hard to be like “yeah he’s gone but he was a key figure in getting 7 rings and a big reason why we are the Yankees of football and why we will have a place in NFL history as one of the premier runs”

Doesn't take long for some on here to blindly defend everything a player does the minute the pen hits the paper on a Patriots contract.
It's good to be flexible, it's not like the guy was ever in any trouble with domestic violence or whatnot.

7?
Did I miss one?

This is a little weird and Boston is maybe the worst place in tbe league for this black starting QB with weird instagram posts.

.

Dude stop being RACIST.

Bottom line is that a Healthy Newton is 10x better than Stidham. Has nothing to do with skin color, but physical ability. I just hope we get the healthy Cam Newton this season.

That sounds more like a Boston problem than a Cam Newton problem.
If he tanks, we’ll hear about his awful doo. If he’s great, no one will care

That’s the way things work in fandom

It is embarrassing to watch someone justify Newton not jumping on that fumble in the super bowl. I don't hate Cam as much as some and he didn't automatically become my favorite player in the last 2 days either. I don't like the signing but that has more to do with the fact that I don't think he makes us that much better where we are a contender but still has a strong chance to win the job and put us in draft position purgatory at 8 or so wins.

I would rather see if there is anything to work with in Stidham and if there isn't then we should be in a position to get a QB early next year. If he works out then great we have plenty of cap room next year and a QB to build around. When it comes to Cam even if he balls out and we make a playoff run then he walks next year for a mega deal and we are right back where we started with an unknown at QB and just prolonged the rebuild for another year.

6 rings my friend, not 7

What's embarrassing is people trying to reduce his desire and toughness to a single play (or even handful of plays).

If you have watched him playing football a bit you'd know that he has gone above and beyond what most QBs would take in terms of punishment and still kept on his feet or delivered a crucial pass. And maybe more importantly, you can find brain farts that are out of character for every player.

Like the time Brady karate-kicked Ed Reed on a slide right before halftime in the AFCCG 2012 ? Really embarrassing to watch someone justify that not being dirty, amirite ?

I agree there seems to be a pretty clear bias that he took way more unpenalized shots than almost every other QB in the league. That video that someone posted in here made the rounds a year or two ago and it was even worse than I thought. Referees seem to give him the Shaq treatment. He is so much more physically gifted than the people he is playing against so they let the defense get away with kicking the crap out of him.

My point was more that once a player signs here he will be defended for nearly anything just because he is now a Patriot while players that help win us rings leave and their accomplishments are immediately diminished by many on here.

I'm trying to remember Brady going after a fumble

I hear I am at your neck. I have no idea what it means, so that may not be what he said. I did google it though and I am still trying to put the google definition into this context and I still don't get it.

it was his light brown shrubs talking. Letting him know theyre sitting on his head

November 27, 2016. Recovered the fumble and threw a TD to Malcolm Mitchell.

Same game that he heroically plowed a running lane for Blount to get a first down.
