BB's second round selections blows glad he doesn't have many to piss away.

Sooooo much twitter heat around the Packers pick....

I agree with the last one. The Packers insiders are trying to spin this as if this is a replay of the Farve to Rodgers transition, but it doesn't feel that way.

It does feel like GB is not intending to build the team the way the QB thinks it should be built.

It seems like there is a lot of parallels to the Brady situation and Rodgers may decide he wants out at the earliest possible opportunity.

Rodgers will speak fewer than 4 words to Love next year.

Last night was lesson in draft mystery. Somehow the 2 best teams SF, KC got much better.. then pick23.. disappeared.
BAL helped themselves a lot as well.

That's what you can do if you're already a good team and a good player in a position of need falls to your draft slot.

Us, on the other hand, we weren't a good team entering the draft so any one player we picked at 23 wasn't going to change our fortunes.

It'd be like the Jete taking the best Safety on the board as they did for two drafts in a row.

It doesn't do you much good to have one very good player when you need a dozen good players.

Some names to watch with the next pick - Fotu, Raekown Davis, Tee Higgins, Swift, KJ Hamler, and Epenesa. Personally, I would love to see them grab Davis and would not mind Fotu either. I think that's the top need on the team. My personal hope on day 2-3 (if he's still available) is Hamler. Just an absolute burner that would fit into this offense like a glove. Higgins is nice, too, but his route tree is limited and it's harder to get a handle on him because he frequently beat up on scrubs in the ACC.

Darnell Mooney our of Tulane is another burner that I’d love to see here.

LMFAO, Murray would have been a perfect fit in the system. There aren't many systems that a talent like Murray wouldn't be a perfect fit in. Stay away from the scouting reports and watch the player. That said, there is still some talent at that position on the board, should they want to go that route. But please don't say that a player like Murray wouldn't have been a system fit. Kid's a stud.

So why do you think BB didn't pick him? WOAT-ness?

I'm feeling 2 of our next 5 picks will be at TE.

Trautman/Kmet then Moss.

Would love them to double dip there we are very paltry there and at WR.

Still enough talent on the board at the position, and he appears to be stockpiling picks for the rebuild.

Is Sanu still on the Team??

I don't get it. Even after sleeping it off. You had Queens sitting there. Other great prospects. How can you be sure the guy you want will be there in the second? What if he isn't?
Queen lacked junk in his trunk
There will be lots of LB's available today that fit more than a 229 pounder.

Mentioned it last night but ...
Peterson, Murphy, Hicks, Jones, Simmons, Baker, Alford isn't a bad little core group going forward.

One of the best things to come out of last night, other than Bill's fantastic decision to trade away pick 23, was GB drafting a QB early. This increases the odds of Rodgers losing patience with that organization and possibly breaking up with them at some point in the near future. Imagine him in a Patriots uniform playing for the GOAT. It would be a privilege of the highest order to have the best QB of all-time playing for this franchise.

Mims, Kmet, swift, Higgins or mckinney if he's there.

Double dip TE is key.

Also think a good thing is that this team is going to grow together, there won't be a massive age divide between brady and the rest of the skill positions any more. Mr Optimistic:

QB - Stidham (Wins 9 games+ shows he's The Guy)
RB - Michel (Regains confidence behind better O line play)
TE1 - Kmet (Premium talent at last)
TE2 - Moss (Finally an X factor)
WR1 - Harry (Stays healthy)
WR2 - Meyers (Chemistry with Stidham)
WR3 - Olszewski (Chemistry with Stidham)

Then next year we get a ton of cap space and make it rain on Defence!

Problem with this draft strategy is we get the leftovers. .

.

If we pick at 37, we will likely get a player rated about the same as someone that Belichick would have picked at 23; think Kmet, Mckinney, Epenesa, Jones, Mims. Matos, Baun, Delpit, Winfield.

Still enough talent on the board at the position, and he appears to be stockpiling picks for the rebuild.

Rebuild tough word for Patsfans given the success. But BB have to Hit on atleast Three Players in this Draft... not too much to ask. IF this Draft blows it will be long painful rebuild.

I am all for a double TE draft. But McDaniels has never understood the importance of TE drafting, he inherited Gronk and he let TEs die in 2005-2006 (inherited and let Graham and Watson leave), now, in Denver, and in St Louis, now again
