BB just found $200 on the street.
Fans should be psyched at this development.
Why would anyone be mad at Gronk? Yea, he ****ed over the Pats, but BB tried to **** over Gronk. It’s all business.
Go New England Bucs.
You'd like to give up another asset to get him? What sense does that make?
This was the perfect scenario to acquire a young TE with promise with no real loss and it was somehow screwed up to epic proportions.
So isn't stock higher then? Gronk can't have a market with other teams??
Tampa Bay was the only place that Rob Gronkowski wanted it was willing to play, per league source. So if Gronkowski passes his physical, he will get his wish.
Agreed, my love for Gronk is all but gone. I will remember him for ****ing the Pats over and his absurdly embarrassing TV/WWE appearances. Its weird, I still love Brady, I will be rooting for him except if/when he plays the Pats. But I'm no longer a Gronk fan. It sucks that this happened, and it sucked that he took so long last offseason to decide to retire. In interviews after he retired, he said he knew during the SB that he was gonna retire. So he ****ed the Pats over because the Pats couldn't attempt to sign a replacement in free agency, because it was almost over by the time he said he was retiring. So I hold a grudge for that. Now my dislike for him is even deeper because of this nonsense. I'm glad he's gone.
Of course, the Pats ****ed themselves over by not drafting any decent TEs in the 2018 & 2019 drafts. They now have three 3rds and two 4ths, they BETTER ****ing pick some TEs (and I mean plural) in this draft.
You'd have to think a year off really helped his body though...he probably still can go for another year or two.

Ah.I'm not saying it wasn't mutual. An employee's view of their boss is a thing, was all I was pointing at.
A dead asset in what way? Clearly he was coveted in Tampa and Brady wanted him there.Gronk was a dead asset, who'd put up declining numbers and has a price to his contract. He was also only going to play for one team. There was no leverage. They were lucky to get more than a 5th, and they probably would have been looking at a 6th without the Brady comfort factor for the Bucs.
Not sure which pick. Waiting on the details....Did they get #117 or #139?.
I agree with you on the found money part but as one poster stated, BB hasn't won many deals lately. The old BB would have gotten at least a 3rd.
No leverage....no CAP. We are paying older dudes more dollars like D Mac.
DW Toys
Yep...we have a 17%-19% chance by league average to get someone who produces within a 3 year period of time Not a good get but probably realistic. Thuney's probably worth a fifth.I don't get all this Howard love. He looks decent, but 3TDs per season and 450 yds i would rather have a 3rd.
I liked the trade. He wasn't coming back to play for us. I hope they find another gem and put the disnaty back on track.
I understand Vince Lombardi was no picnic to play for eitherThere's a quote out there that says something along the lines of "getting a player to play at the highest level isn't always a lot of fun" or something like that. That's what we have here. Gronk wants to have fun and be gronky (thanks Viv), Bill wants him to be the best.
If any of you have seen that quote or know who it is from, let me know.
