Some suprises. Mankins made it, as did Chandler Jones. Brady Gronk BB Revis and Ghost fill out the rest of the list of Patriots.

No ST spot though? Thought that was a position they listed as Slater would’ve been a shoe in for that.

Yeah, not sure why they didn't have a ST gunner on the list.

C. Patterson made the list as well, from a ex-Pat standpoint.

Edit: ex-Pat coach Pete Carroll made the list as well.

Where is The GOAT Drew Brees?

Happy for Gostkowski. I don't think the Patriots have any "snubs" but a few that were certainly worthy of consideration: McCourty, Wilfork, Hightower. Gilmore might lose out due to the decade divider, unfortunately.

Slater for ST; although there’s no “gunner” slot.

Gronk wasn’t a unanimous choice? o_O

McCourty should have Eric Berry's spot.

Chandler Jones benefitted from edge rushers getting to take up 2 positions and therefore getting twice the depth. Still insane that these lists don't account for 4-3/3-4 differences.

It's pretty stupid to me that someone didn't vote for Gronk, and to a lesser extent Julio.

Don't think Revis deserved to make the 2010s list considering his decline started in 2012 and his peak was 2009.

Brady was all decade #1 QB for 2000s and 2010s. 3 rings each decade. Unreal. Never happen again.

Tom Brady: 2x NFL MVP, 2x 1st Team All-Pro, 1x 2nd Team All-Pro, 3x SB champion, 2x SB MVP

Aaron Rodgers: 2x NFL MVP, 2x 1st Team All-Pro, 1x 2nd Team All-Pro, 1x SB Champion, 1x SB MVP

Drew Brees: 0x NFL MVP, 0x 1st Team All-Pro, 2x 2nd Team All-Pro, 0x SB Champion, 0x SB MVP

But but but.... Brees was robbed!!!

I’d replace him with Weddle. Weddle got attention for getting INT’s, but his coverage ability was overrated. When a receiver got him into one on one situations, he’d get beat.

I actually think Harrison Smith and (maybe to a slightly lesser extent) Malcolm Jenkins should’ve made it over Weddle. While I do like Weddle, he never made a significant impact for his defenses. Always seemed like “volume INTs.” Smith actually anchored some very good Viking defenses and Jenkins was a captain/leader for 2 SB teams (NO/PHI) even though ‘09 was his rookie year.

"He was probably one of the most important parts to our Super Bowl run," Payton said in January 2019. "And that was only his rookie season. He's one of my guys, and I mean that. Probably one of the bigger mistakes that we've made, and you have to ask yourself, 'How did that happen?' Letting him out of the building certainly wasn't a smart decision.”

Just my humble opinion.

Wilson was better than Brees in the 2010s.

He made it to two SBs and has a ring; he was also the best player on the field and should have been SB MVP.

He has also been MVP worthy in the regular season more often than the stat king.

29/30. Never forget.

That's two 1st ballot hall of fame careers.

Honestly he really has 3x

7 years 01-07 (3 rings, 4 appearances, 1 MVP, touchdown record and 16-0)
7 years 08-14 (1 ring, unanimous MVP, 2 SB appearances)
15-present (2 rings, 3 appearances in a row, MVP)

Like Haden, but you never made an IMPACT. Sorry bruh...Same could be said for PP, but at least he was elite in 2 categories (CB/ST).

Don't like Revis, Mankins or Tyreek Hill on the team. Review and Mankins made it on reputation run over from prior decade. Solid but did not play long enough in my opinion. How does Hill make it as a punt returner? He returned punts for 3 freaking years and has a total of 9 returns for 3 yards in the playoffs. I do not get hung up on stuff like this but if you are going to pick teams at least pay attention. Edelman had twice as many returns in decade for a slightly worse regular season average (11.9 vs 11.2) but maintained it in playoffs with 39 returns for an 11.4 average.

Don't like Revis

Revis got 3 out of his 4 1st Team All-Pro selections, 5 out of his 7 Pro Bowls AND his Super Bowl ring in 2010+.

Patterson and Brown were also ex-Patriots.
