I do miss those aluminum benches. Yeah, there was always a fat dude or two taking up 1.5 spaces, but you could huddle up a bit and keep warm..then jump up and down on those benches....

Good old days....

Not that I'm shaming anyone, but I watched a Patriots-Miami game on youtube from about 1982 recently, and oh my god, there was nothing but skinny guys in every freakin' seat.

The American body has changed quite a bit in 30 off years.

And two weeks later I was totally wrecked to hear about all the background conniving and backstabbing that had been going on.

I still think the Patriots win that game if everyone had been "laser focused."

they win that game with just a average game manager at qb. Loved Bledsoe blindly but those 3 or 4 ints were just too much to overcome.

What a break! as big a homer as i may be , zero chance we go into denver and win that year, probably lower chance than beating gb on a neutral field. Not only was denver good as f***, but they absolutely owned us. 3 years in a row at least, don’t think any of those games were close.

Brady has owned quite a few teams over the years. Buffalo, Pittsburgh come to mind. Elway never lost to the Patriots in his career so I would consider that ownage as well. Pretty close in 86 playoff but Rulon Jones and his damn safety sealed the deal. However, kind of glad they lost that one looking back. Don’t think I could of took back to back slaughters at the hands of Chicago and NY in back to back years.

i remember they clobbered us in Foxboro that season and Terrell Davis ran wild in that game.

I think that was the Shannon Sharpe “call the national guard we are killing the Patriots” game.

I agree with one of the comments on the video about Parcells looking almost miserable for a guy who just led his team to the Super Bowl.

The blowup with Kraft was that morning. Still an eyebrow raiser thinking that Parcells told Kraft he’d never win a Super Bowl for him and then some curiously terrible coaching decisions in the SB that helped them lose the game.

Great uniforms for that game too...Blues > Reds, and more historically accurate too...much better than the halloween costumes they wear today...all that's missing is Pat on the helmet...
...And man did Bledsoe suck...

yup that was it, our first meeting with the great version of that team and was supposd to be a marquis matchup of the afc favorites :(

We always tailgated in the old "Lot A", and were usually one of the last crews to leave - like we didn't leave until the mounted Staties came around and told us to pack it up... But after this 96 AFC championship game the constabulary wasn't as quick to boot us...a vivid memory I have is 4 or 5 of us, in a now near empty Lot A, passing around a bottle of Jack jumping up and down doing a TU-NA, TUN-NA, TU-NA chant...Dems were da days folks... carefree and without responsibility

Still amazed the Donkeys lost to this Jaguar team at home. That’s right up there with Titans beating the Ravens this year. Maybe a bigger upset.

Natrone Meant Business.

And I've hated him ever since...

Still have a piece of one of the benches mounted on my wall.

I will never forgiver Parcells for that game. That's why I barf every time someone wants him in the Pats Hall of Fame.

Krafts won't do it.

That was a crazy year. Two expansion teams from 1995 were one game away from meeting in the Super Bowl.

Totally shocked Denver lost at home like they did.

Packers were they best team flat out. Pats put up a good fight, but they were overmatched. "The Minister of Defense" was not going to be denied.

Probably...still a shame that Troy Brown (& Sam Gash) wasn't available for the game...he would've been on the kick coverage teams instead of Hassan Graham...betcha he would've stopped Desmond Howard during his game-sealing KO return for a TD...

Bledsoe Bledsoe’d that game.

Not sure what happened to Milloy on Freeman’s long TD

Not sure what happened to Milloy on Freeman’s long TD
Don't know why he was covering him in the first place...Milloy was "covering" Freeman on another long gain with 5-6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter too...
